Making a puff pastry pie is so incredibly easy - you can prepare it in under ten minutes. I make mine sweet and tart with a mixture of cranberries and cherries.

Puff Pastry Berry Pie

cherries

cranberries

sugar

brown sugar

all-purpose flour

cinnamon

ginger

nutmeg

orange

Preheat oven to 400 F.

Place cherries and cranberries in a bowl and use a potato masher to smash them.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Use a sieve to remove the excess liquid. You won't need it for this recipe, but you can use it in cocktails or in other recipes.

In a large bowl, mix the sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and orange zest with the smashed berries.

Pour into a 3 quart casserole dish.

Gently roll out puff pastry to the approximate size of the casserole dish.

Use a pizza cutter to cut out the dough to the exact size of the dish. (If the dish has a lid, use it as a guide; you can invert the dish or lid onto the puff pastry to leave an indentation that you can follow.) Save scraps for other puff pastry projects.

Use a lame or continue to use the pizza cutter to gently score designs in the pastry, being careful not to cut all the way though it.

Place puff pastry on top of the filling.

Use a pastry brush to brush the pastry with egg yolk.

Bake for 45 minutes or until evenly browned.

Serve warm.

Divide the ready-made puff pastry in half, roll out each piece and cut into a 25cm round. Put one round on a baking sheet and spread with the apricot jam to within 2cm of the edges.

Beat together the softened butter and caster sugar until light and fluffy, then beat in the egg. Stir in the ground almonds and cognac or dark rum.

Spoon the mixture over the jam, spreading it evenly. Brush the edges of the pastry with water, then cover with the second piece, pressing the edges to seal. Mark the top of the pastry from the centre to the edges like the spokes of a wheel or in a zig zag pattern, then brush with beaten egg.

Bake for 25-30 mins until crisp and golden. Serve warm or cold.

Cranberry Brie Puff Pastry Pinwheels – Sweet and buttery puff pastry rolled up with brie cheese, cranberries, nuts, and a drizzle of honey, and baked to perfectly flaky pinwheels. 

Cranberry Brie Puff Pastry Pinwheels

puff pastry, (thawed)

butter, (melted, divided)

Brie cheese, (rind mostly removed and cheese diced)

cranberries, (chopped)

walnuts

honey

powdered sugar, (for dusting (optional))

Preheat oven to 375˚F.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

Unroll the puff pastry on a clean work surface and brush with about a tablespoon of melted butter.

Add the diced brie, cranberries, and nuts evenly over the pastry.

Drizzle honey over cheese, cranberries, and nuts.

Starting at the long end, roll the pastry up as tightly as possible.

Brush the roll with remaining melted butter.

Using a sharp knife, cut into 12 pinwheels.

Transfer pinwheels to previously prepared baking sheet.

Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until cheese is melted and pastry is golden.

Remove from oven and let stand couple minutes.

Transfer to a serving plate.

Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm.

Baklava Puff Pastry Cinnamon Rolls

puff pastry (slightly thawed)

Tablespoons butter or ghee (softened)

pistachios (finely chopped)

walnuts (finely chopped)

egg (beaten)

Honey

Preheat the oven to 400 ° Fahrenheit. Grease a mini muffin tin, and set it aside.

In a small bowl, mix the butter, cinnamon, and sugar until well combined.

Roll out the puff pastry, and spread the cinnamon mixture in an even layer on top. Sprinkle the pistachios and walnuts on top.

Roll the puff pastry onto itself to create a roll. Slice the dough into 12 pieces, and brush the egg wash on top.

Place each piece in the prepared muffin tin, and bake for 18-20 minutes or until the cinnamon rolls are golden brown.

Drizzle honey or simple syrup on top, and serve immediately.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Honeycrisp Apple Pandowdy

butter

honeycrisp apples, sliced into 1/4 inch wedges

maple syrup

vanilla extract

lemon juice

salt

apple cider

puff pastry, thawed

egg, beaten

sugar,

heavy cream

1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.&nbsp;2. Melt the butter in a 10-inch skillet over medium heat and cook until lightly browned. Remove from the heat.&nbsp;3. In a large bowl, combine the apples, brown sugar, flour, maple syrup, vanilla, lemon juice, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, salt, and apple cider. Pour the mixture into the skillet with the butter and toss to evenly coat.&nbsp;4.&nbsp;Place the pastry over the apples and press down gently to secure, tucking the sides of the pastry under the apples as best you can. Brush with the beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse sugar. Place the skillet on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven. Using a sharp knife, cut the pastry into large squares to create the "pandowdy".&nbsp;4. Reduce the oven temp to 350. Return the skillet to the oven and continue baking for another 20 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbling up through the cracks of the pastry. If needed cover the top with foil to prevent burning. Spoon the heavy cream over top and then return to the oven for another 10 minutes to "set" the cream. The pastry will turn a dark golden brown.&nbsp;5.&nbsp;Using a spoon, press the pastry down into warm juices, but don’t submerge. Serve warm with ice cream. ENJOY!

A fast and easy simple Dessert idea. A simple pastry filled with Nutella and baked to yummy perfection.

Easy Nutella Puff Pastry Balls

Pre-heat oven to 375F / 190C. Grease and flour or spray a 4- 6 medium size muffin tin. Place jar of Nutella in fridge for at least 3-4 hours or until very cold and firm. You could also place spoonfuls of Nutella on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet and then freeze them for an hour then place one in the middle of each square.

Thaw the puff pastry if frozen, unroll and using a rolling pin, roll to even it out but do not make it too thin, cut into 4- 6 squares, make sure you leave a strip for cut outs or decorator ropes.

Place a scoop of Nutella in the middle of each square, brush the edges with milk and starting from the opposite ends bring up the corners to meet, do this again with the remaining corners (see photos) and squeeze to close. Decorate with twisted strips of pastry or cut outs. Place in prepared muffin tin, brush with milk, bake for approximately 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and baked through. Let cool enough to handle, dust with powdered sugar and serve. Enjoy!

My husband has a Major sweet tooth and was driving me nuts tonight to bake him something sweet. I couldn't say no since he went out earlier and brought home 12 Beautiful Potted Tulips. So even though I wasn't in a mood to bake after a rather trying day I made these they were so simple yet they are so GOOD I even ate one (I am more a savory Person) He ate the rest in under an hour and asked if I'd make some in the morning for breakfast (Good thing theirs always lots of Puff Pastry in our freezer) So I will be up baking them in the morning but it's so fast and easy he can have them when ever he wants!!!

Homemade Cherry Puff Turnovers Recipe

Preheat Oven

Set the oven to 200°C and allow it to fully preheat to ensure even baking.

Prepare Pastry

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets to smooth out any seams and create an even surface.

Cut and Fill

Divide each pastry sheet into 4 equal squares. Spoon 1 to 2 tablespoons of cherry pie filling into the center of each square, being careful not to overfill.

Fold and Seal

Fold each square diagonally to form a triangle. Firmly press the edges together and use a fork to crimp and seal the edges securely to prevent filling leakage.

Apply Egg Wash

In a bowl, vigorously whisk together 1 large egg and 1 tablespoon milk. Brush this egg wash over the surface of each turnover for a golden finish.

Bake

Arrange the turnovers on a parchment-lined baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until they are golden brown and puffed.

Prepare Glaze

While the turnovers bake, mix 1 cup powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 3 tablespoons milk in a bowl until smooth. Adjust milk as necessary to achieve your desired glaze consistency.

Glaze and Serve

Once the turnovers have baked and slightly cooled, drizzle the vanilla glaze evenly over the top. Serve and enjoy warm or at room temperature.

This one comes straight from JB (yes, our actual French chef), who whipped it up like it was no big deal. Sometimes, his idea of &quot;no big deal&quot; is out of reach for regular folk like me. Easy French Apple Tart - Tarte Fine aux Pommes

ABBREVIATED: Sprinkle paper with 3t sugar, put puff on, fold in 1cm / 0.4&quot; edge. Top with apple, brush butter, sprinkle 2t sugar. Bake on preheated tray at 210°C/375°F (190°C fan) for 30 minutes.

Hot tray - Put a baking tray in the oven then turn it on and pre-heat to 210°C/375°F (190°C fan-forced).

Sugar underside of puff - Place a sheet of baking paper (parchment paper) on the counter. Sprinkle with 3 teaspoons of sugar, roughly in the shape of the puff pastry sheet.

Fold edge - Place puff pastry on top of the sugar. Fold the edges inwards to create a 1cm / 0.4&quot; edge.

Apples - Arrange the apples slices in 3 rows, overlapping them slightly.

Butter and sugar - Brush the apple slices and edges with melted butter, then sprinkle with the sugar (apple and edge).

Bake - Transfer the tart on the paper to the hot baking tray (keep it on the paper). Bake for 30 minutes, or until the edges are golden.

Serve - Cut into 6, dust with icing sugar and serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

So easy.  Didn’t have ice cream. Drizzled with a little sweetened condensed milk instead. Yum

Must confess i was slighty worried when it came out of the oven as the middle section looked a bit pale and soggy.  But the underside was crispy and that's all that matters.  A very easy dessert. I drizzled with dulce de leche which had been warmed in the microwave.

I made this a few weeks back, so good and recipe was so easy to follow with fantastic results. My kids were raving about it and have since asked for it again and again. Thank you!

Love this easy apple tart. It is even better with some heated apricot jam brushed on when it comes out of the oven!  Gives it a nice gloss.

I was sceptical that this would work given its simplicity but I can confirm it’s great!!!!
