Microwave Mug Pupcake – a fast, microwaveable canine cupcake! This pupcake bakes in 90 seconds and is topped with a simple two-ingredient frosting!

Single Serving Homemade Dog Pupcake

peanut butter

wheat flour

baking powder

water

vanilla extract

plain greek yogurt

Dry dog food or dog treat

Heat peanut butter in a microwaveable bowl or mug for 30 seconds or until it starts to melt.

Add the remaining ingredients to the mug/bowl and stir until well combined.

If you use a bowl to mix, transfer batter to a greased mug

For the Mug Cake

In a small dish, combine peanut butter and plain greek yogurt

Spread frosting on mug cake or place in piping bag and pipe on pupcake

Top with their favorite dog treats or dry dog food for added decorations!

applesauce (167 grams)

peanut butter (135 grams (see note))

honey (117 grams (see note))

eggs (100 grams)

coconut oil (50 grams, melted)

water (170 grams)

whole wheat flour

baking powder (10 grams)

cream cheese (227 grams, room temperature (1 brick))

peanut butter (135 grams)

milk bones (optional,

Preheat

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 12-count cupcake tin with paper liners. Set aside.

Whisk

In a large bowl, whisk the applesauce, peanut butter, honey, eggs, and oil together until smooth.

In a separate bowl, whisk the flour and baking powder together.

Combine

Add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix until combined.

Bake

Spoon into the cupcake tin and bake for 20-24 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean (or with a few crumbs but no batter).

Cool

Beat

While the cupcakes are cooling, prepare the frosting. Add the cream cheese and peanut butter to a bowl. Use an electric hand mixer to beat until smooth.

Pipe

Once the cupcakes are cool, use a wilton 1M tip, or simply cut the end of the piping bag (or ziplock), to pipe the frosting onto the cupcakes.

Hi- This was so easy. I cut the recipe in half and used an overripe banana and unsweet strawberry apple sauce.  Instead of the flour I used gluten-free pancake mix. I shared one with my furbaby Lola.  It's a gift for our neighbor-Sophie as she is turning 10 tomorrow.  I topped it with some soft heart-shaped doggie bite treats. Thank you- it really tasted good for humans as well!
