(170 grams) butter, (divided)

(250 grams) all-purpose flour

sugar

baking powder

kosher salt, (divided)

(245 grams) whole milk

(8ounces, 230 grams) mild cheddar cheese

Preheat oven to 425°F. Prepare a large baking sheet with Silpat or parchment paper. (If you are shredding your own cheese, do that first.)

In a medium microwave-safe bowl, add 1/2 cup (113g) butter. Heat until butter is melted. (About 45 seconds) Set aside to slightly cool.

In a large mixing bowl add the flour, sugar, baking powder, garlic and 1 teaspoon salt. Whisk until well combined.

Pour the milk into the melted butter you set aside and stir well.

Pour the milk and butter mixture over the dry ingredients and stir until just combined, making sure to not over mix. Add shredded cheese and fold in until cheese is evenly distributed.

Grab about 1/2 cup of dough with your fingers and drop onto baking sheet. (about the size of a small fist) You can fit 8 large biscuits onto one baking sheet. If you want smaller biscuits, prepare another lined baking sheet and make each biscuit about 1/4 cup.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, until biscuits are just barely golden brown.

While biscuits are baking, melt remaining 1/4 cup (56g) of butter in small mixing bowl. Microwave for 30 seconds or until butter is melted. Add 1 teaspoon salt and all parsley and stir.

When biscuits are removed from the oven, immediately brush with butter parsley mixture.

Serve hot.

Soft, fluffy and loaded with cheese, this easy Cheese Bread tastes just like Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits! No kneading required. Perfect served as a side with a nice pat of butter or even for sandwiches.

Cheese Bread

all-purpose flour (, spooned and leveled)

fine sea salt

unsalted butter (, melted)

onion powder

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 9x5 loaf pan with nonstick spray. Using a pastry brush, brush the spray all over the loaf pan to make sure it is covered up the sides and in the corners. Set aside.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until combined. Add the cheddar cheese and stir it together so the cheese is coated in the flour mixture. Set aside.

In a small bowl, whisk together the milk and egg; pour into the dry mixture and stir it until just combined (a few dry spots are okay.) Add in the melted butter and mix it in until everything is combined and there are no dry patches.

Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and smooth out the top.

Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

While the bread is baking, make the topping: whisk together the butter, garlic powder, salt, onion powder, and dried parsley.

Remove loaf pan from the oven and set on a wire rack to cool slightly. Immediately brush the bread with the butter topping.

Let the bread cool for 5 minutes in the pan then take it out of the pan and cool completely on the wire rack.

Slice and serve.

These Red Lobster Homemade Cheesy Garlic Biscuits are super easy and take only 30 minutes to make! A million times better than the original cheddar bay biscuits.

(43 grams) unsalted butter, (melted)

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt. Use a pastry blender to cut the butter into the flour mixture until the butter forms pea-sized crumbs. Mix in the cheese. Add the buttermilk and stir until just combined.

While the biscuits are baking, combine the melted butter, parsley, and garlic powder. Brush the biscuits with the garlic butter and serve warm.

Greetings from Greece. These sound lovely. I will definitely make them. I was wondering could I make them into a savoury cake? Will it need many alterations? Will it bake through? Thank you for your insight

Perfect recipe! I shredded very cold butter, stuck it in the freezer, mixed it into my dry stuff plus cheese and had biscuits in the oven straight home from church! I made my own buttermilk: 1 cup milk + 1 tablespoon vinegar and let it sit a few minutes. Added Italian herbs to the dough. Perfect complement to Taco Salad.

Yum!! I’m so glad I found your recipe your recipe! I didn’t have cheddar cheese on hand so I used Asiago (chopped up finely) & the dough was a bit dry once I mixed all the ingredients in so I added an extra 1/4c. They came out so fluffy and delish! Topped them with salted butter, parsley & Parmesan. Great recipes, thank you.😊

I made these and they were delicious. But I think they need more salt

I am going to agree with others, 3/4 cup of buttermilk was not enough. I added another 1/8 cup and the dough came together and yes I weighed the flour.

Biscuits were delicious.

These were so yummy! I measured the flour using a kitchen scale, as suggested. I found the mix to be just a bit too dry with the 3/4 cup buttermilk though, so I added a 1/8 cup extra and the dough came together perfectly! i also loved how the freshly grated cheddar melted in as opposed to the store bought shredded cheese packages.

I used this recipe for a biscuits & gravy brunch and it was absolutely delicious!

Will definitely make again!

Absolutely outstanding! I followed the directions exactly and everyone was very pleased with how awesome these are!

made these for dinner tonight and my only complaint is I obviously have no clue what a scant 1/4c is because I got them on the tray and there was only about 6 of them and recipe calls for 12. So I did what any good HTH student does and got out my scale and started over. Each biscuit was about 56g each in order to get 12. Other than that super easy recipe. I dd not have any dried parsley so I just used FlavorGod Garlic lovers blend mixed with the butter and it was perfect.
