This Sausage Pepper Pasta is easy, flavorful and the answer to what you&#x27;re making for supper tonight. It&#x27;s simple, quick, packed full of savory and hearty flavor, and the best part? It&#x27;s all made in 30 minutes! 

Sausage Pepper Pasta

pasta

olive oil

sausages

medium peppers (different colors, diced)

onion

garlic (minced)

oz diced tomato (1 can)

Italian seasoning

salt (or

½ tsp pepper (or

Parmesan cheese (freshly grated, optional)

Cook the pasta: According to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Brown the sausage: Add the olive oil to a large skillet or Dutch oven and heat over medium heat. Add the sausage and cook until browned on all sides. Transfer to a plate and set aside.

Saute the sauteables: Add the bell peppers, onions, garlic and saute for a few minutes until the onions soften, 3 to 5 minutes. Add the diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, cooked sausage to the pot and simmer for 10 minutes.

Finish the dish: Toss in the pasta and garnish with parsley. If using, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve warm.

turkey Italian sausage

oz Fresh Spinach

chicken broth

oz Sweet Roasted Red Peppers

oregano

Parmesan cheese

Cook the pasta to al dente using the package instructions.

Meanwhile, crumble and cook the sausage in a large non-stick skillet. Break apart the pieces as you go.

When sausage is no longer pink, add in red peppers, chicken broth, and all the spices. Continue cooking over medium heat.

At this point the pasta should be nearly cooked. Add in spinach and put a lid on the pan to wilt the spinach. Stir to incorporate. 

When pasta is done, drain it and add it into the skillet as well. At this point, the pasta is technically done, however the leftover sausage juice and broth make for a rather runny &quot;sauce&quot; so turn the heat down to simmer and let it continue to cook for another 10-15 minutes, stirring it occasionally.

Remove from heat and take the lid off. Stir just before serving and sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top, if you&#039;d like. Enjoy.

I thought it was a great meal that this recipe made up! However, I had to add some spaghetti sauce to it
