Seed and feed, who says you need a backyard? These days, home grown produce can be found in pots, on walls and even on top of garages and houses. For the first instalment of his new column sharing family-friendly recipes, Shannon Bennett raids his own urban garden to beat the dinner rush.

Curtis Stone wowed us in 2003 with his avant-garde mozzarella filled with crab and avocado. Those flavours have been reworked into a Californian-style pizza – as this is the place that Curtis now calls home.

Serve this people pleasing prawn dish before summer ends, and you'll have everyone smiling from ear to ear.

“I created this dish for the Ballina Prawn Festival, and it ended up winning the people’s choice award for the prawn dish of the day. I couldn’t make them fast enough. ” says chef Darren Robertson from Bronte's Three Blue Ducks.
