Homemade fresh salmon burgers topped with a slightly spicy cajun style remoulade sauce. These burgers are hearty, filling, and easy to make. Serve them in hamburger buns or with a salad!

Salmon Burgers with Cajun Remoulade Sauce

shallot, minced

red bell pepper, minced

celery, minced

parsley, chopped

capers, roughly chopped

EACH minced garlic and lemon juice

mayonnaise

panko breadcrumbs + more (see notes)

½ teaspoon EACH seafood seasoning AND cayenne

oil,

scallion, chopped

garlic

creole mustard (or dijon)

EACH hot sauce AND lemon juice

CAJUN REMOULADE SAUCE: In a small bowl, combine all the ingredients for the sauce. Stir and season with salt and pepper to taste. Refrigerate until ready to use.

SALMON BURGERS: In a medium skillet heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced shallots, red bell peppers, and celery and cook for 3-5 minutes. You want to just soften the veggies. Remove the veggies to a small plate or bowl, allow to cool for several minutes.

Add the salmon to a food processor and pulse 2-3 times or until the salmon is well chopped and slightly sticky. Remove the salmon to a medium bowl, stir in the cooled shallot mixture, parsley, capers, garlic, lemon juice, mayo, panko, seafood seasoning, cayenne, ½ teaspoon of salt, and ¼ teaspoon of black pepper. Combine until the mixture is evenly mixed. Divide the mixture into 6 patties. Place 2 tablespoons panko on a plate and place the patties on top. Sprinkle with another tablespoon of panko and press the patties gently.

Heat a small amount (about 1-2 tablespoons) of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the salmon patties 3 at a time (or 1-2 depending on the size of your skillet), flipping once after 3-5 minutes. The patties should be golden and crispy on the outside and cooked to preference on the inside. Feel for firmness if you prefer a fully cooked patty.

Shrimp Cakes with Lemon Aioli (VIDEO)

shrimp

mozzarella cheese ((1 1/2 cups shredded))

Tbsp parsley (finely chopped, plus more to garnish)

tsp sea salt (or

tsp black pepper

all-purpose flour (or gluten free flour)

olive oil

mayo

lemon

lemon juice

garlic (pressed

Pat dry shrimp with paper towels then dice into pea-sized pieces.*

Transfer chopped shrimp to a large mixing bowl. Add 4 oz shredded mozzarella, 1 egg, 1/4 cup mayo, 2 Tbsp parsley, 1/2 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp black pepper. Stir together then add 1/4 cup flour and mix until batter is creamy and well combined.

Heat a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 Tbsp olive oil. Add 1 heaping Tablespoon at a time (or a level ice cream scoop) and flatten out the tops of your fritters as you go so they are about 1/2" thick patties. Saute about 3 minutes per side or until golden brown on the edges and cooked through.

How to Make Shrimp Cakes:

In a small bowl, add mayo and stir to remove any lumps. Add 1 tsp lemon zest, 2 Tbsp lemon juice and pressed garlic clove and stir to combine.&nbsp;

4 oz (1 1/2 cups) mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 large egg
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 Tbsp parsley, finely chopped
1/2 tsp sea salt, or to taste
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/4 cup all-purpose flour (or gluten free flour)
2 Tbsp light olive oil (or high heat cooking oil of choice)

1/2 cup mayo
1 tsp lemon zest
2 Tbsp lemon juice
1 garlic clove, pressed or finely minced

Cheesy Shrimp Cakes Recipe with  Lemon Aioli Sauce

Thai shrimp cakes with sweet chili sauce (Tod Mun Goong) are tasty appetizers with memorable flavors that come from fresh ingredients used in this recipe. With fresh ingredients like garlic, shallots, kaffir lime leaves, lime juice, cilantro stems, and ground white pepper, this Thai starter will leave you wanting more.

Thai shrimp cakes with sweet chili sauce (Tod Mun Goong)

raw shrimp, veins, shells, and tails removed.

pork

bread crumbs

shallots, chopped

garlic,

cilantro stems, chopped into 1 inch pieces

kaffir lime leaves- finely chopped

white pepper

fish sauce

teaspoons fresh lime juice

baking powder

Prepare the shrimp by removing the shells, veins, and tail and adding them to a food processor.

Add all other ingredients to the food processor and blend until smooth paste forms.

Transfer the shrimp mixture to a mixing bowl. Have a plate ready to place the patties on. Roll the mixture with wet hands into golf ball-sized patties.

Heat a skillet on medium heat, and add 2 tablespoons of oil. Fry the shrimp cakes, 6 or so pieces at a time, until lightly golden brown, about 3-4 minutes each. Flip them over and cook for 1-2 minutes more. Place them on a plate lined with a paper towel to let them cool at room temperature. Finish cooking the rest of the patties.

For the sweet chili dipping sauce

Shrimp Cakes are juicy and flavorful, spiked with fresh dill, lemon and smoked paprika, and served with the most amazing mayo based dipping sauce.&nbsp;

Easy Shrimp Cakes

panko bread crumbs

eggs (beaten)

hot sauce

green onions

dill

smoked paprika

onion powder

salt

pepper

vegetable, canola oil

lemon wedges (for serving)

sour cream

juice of half lemon

salt (to taste)

Using a sharp knife, cut the shrimp into small cubed like pieces.

Transfer the shrimp to a large bowl and add the remaining of the ingredients: panko bread crumbs, beaten egg, hot sauce, green onion, dill, lemon juice, lemon zest, paprika, onion powder and salt. Stir gently to combine.

Form the shrimp mixture into 8-10 patties. You can use an ice cream scoop to make each sized portion.

Next, heat the oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the shrimp patties in a single layer and cook for about 3-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Gently flip on the other side, to not break the patties.

Mix all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl until fully combined. Serve with the shrimp cakes with lemon wedges on the side.
