Grilled Skirt Steak is juicy, full of bold flavor, and absolutely delicious. Grilling skirt steak brings out the best of this long thin steak that you are going to love.

Grilled Skirt Steak

skirt steak

soy sauce

lemon juice

olive oil

Worcestershire sauce

Tablespoon minced garlic

Italian seasoning

pepper

salt

red pepper

In a large ziplock bag add the skirt steak, soy sauce, lemon juice, olive oil, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, italian seasoning, pepper, salt, and red pepper flakes.  Let marinate for 2 hours or overnight.

Preheat your grill to high heat.  Add the steak to the grill and cook for 3-5 minutes or until it reaches an internal temperature of 145 for medium.

Carne Asada Skirt Steak Tacos Recipe

skirt steak (Trim

orange, juiced (approx ½ cup)

lime, juiced (approx ¼ cup)

¼ cup onion, chopped

red chili flakes

garlic cloves, crushed

lime

beef rub

Marinate

Place all marinade ingredients in a large gallon sized bag. Mix together.&nbsp;Add the steak to the marinade. Mix again. Seal tight, and place in a large bowl and place in the refrigerator for a minimum of 2 hours, we cap at 6 hours to maintain the beef flavor.

Prepare Grill

Heat grill nice and hot, and prepare for direct cooking. Target 450 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit over direct grilling.

Season

Remove the steak from the bag and pat dry (don&#39;t worry about removing pieces of the onion or garlic). Discard any extra marinade. Liberally season your steak on both sides with your dry rub. 

Grill

Place on grill for direct cooking. Grill approximately 3-4 minutes per side (this will depend on size of your steak). It&#39;s always best to check your temperature with a digital thermometer. We like 125 for rare, and also 135 for medium rare. *see notes Remove from heat. 

Slice against the grain, and serve as a filling for tacos or burritos.

Skirt Steak Marinade

olive oil oil

balsamic vinegar

spicy brown mustard

honey

black pepper

garlic (, minced)

Whisk together the soy sauce, oil, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, honey, salt, pepper and garlic in a bowl.

Pour over skirt steak in a shallow dish or a large plastic bag.

Seal and refrigerate for 3-4 hours.

Remove steak from marinade, discarding any leftover liquid. Cook your desired way and let rest for 3-5 minutes before slicing against the grain.

A quick and flavorful skirt steak marinade that creates tender, juicy steak every time. Perfect for grilling or cooking on the stovetop.

In a small bowl, whisk together ½ cup olive oil, ⅓ cup soy sauce, ⅓ cup lemon juice, ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce, 1 tablespoon minced garlic, 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon pepper, ½ teaspoon salt, and a pinch of red pepper flakes.

Add the 2 pounds skirt steak to a resealable zip lock bag or large bowl and pour the marinade on top. Marinate for 2 hours or overnight before cooking the steaks.

Well this was wonderful.  Made it, no changes, except cut the quantities in half as I was cooking for one.  Marinated 4 hours and cooked on indoor stove top grill at high heat.  Inside skirt steak and 3 minutes per side.  Dried off before grilling. Served with Caesar salad and bread.  Definitely making again.  Not too salty, nice umami flavor.  It was really good, thank you.

I would add to this lime juice that really is the topper for skirt steak. Living in Texas for 30 years I learned the secrets of guacamole and skirt steak. After you marinate it you want to do a quick cook on the grill hot grill you don't cook this very long it gets done very fast fajitas are my favorite food and the skirt steak is the only one that should be used to make fajitas besides chicken that I prefer the beef skirt steak which I can't find in Kentucky good luck there if you can find skirt steak you are luckier than I am.

This is the most delicious marinade! I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the lemon juice in with the other ingredients but it gives it this incredible freshness! I used coconut amino’s and I don’t have Worcestershire but I had everything else. Amazing!

An easy skirt steak marinade that tenderizes and adds a pop of flavor in every bite! Perfect grilled or cooked in a cast iron skillet.

orange juice

lime juice ((about 2 limes))

apple cider vinegar

garlic, (minced)

In a medium bowl, add the orange juice, lime juice, olive oil, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, garlic, red pepper flakes, and ground cumin. Whisk together to combine.

Place the skirt steak in a large baking dish or gallon size zip-top bag and pour the marinade on top. Turn the steak a few times until it&#39;s completely coated with marinade, cover, and refrigerate for 2 to 6 hours. Do not marinate for longer than 8 hours because the meat will start to break down.

Remove steak from marinade and discard any excess marinade. Pat steak dry with paper towels and season with salt and black pepper on both sides.

To grill: Preheat grill to high heat (about 450°F-500°F). Grill the skirt steak with the lid closed for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium rare, or longer depending on the thickness and your desired doneness. I recommend using an instant read meat thermometer to make sure it&#39;s perfect!

To cook on the stove: Heat a large cast-iron skillet over high heat with a generous drizzle of oil. Add the skirt steak and press down on the meat a couple of times to make sure it&#39;s fully touching the bottom of the pan (you want to get a good sear). Cook for 3-5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3-5 minutes depending on the thickness and your desired doneness. I recommend using an instant read meat thermometer to make sure it&#39;s perfect!

Transfer the steak to a cutting board and let it rest for 5 minutes. Slice thinly across the grain and at a slight angle and serve.

I made this last night for my family and it was absolutely delicious! Marinaded the skirt streak for 6 hours and grilled as directed-it turned out perfect! This is definitely a new dinner staple.
