Air Fryer Donuts

tube (16 oz) refrigerated ﬂaky biscuits

Open biscuits and lay on a cutting board. Using a round 1-inch cookie cutter or donut cuter, cut the centers out of each biscuit.

Brush oil on the bottom of air fryer basket using a pastry brush or a paper towel. Lay 3-4 biscuits in the basket.

While donuts cook, make the icing. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk and strawberry extract – until smooth.  Start with 1 tablespoon of milk add more as needed to get a smooth, but still thick icing. You don't want it too thin or it won't coat the donut well.

As soon as donuts come out of air...

As soon as donuts come out of air fryer, dip top of doughnuts into glaze. I do this using tongs, as the donuts will be hot! 

Turn over and shake gently to evenly spread...

Turn over and shake gently to evenly spread glaze, set on a cooling rack. Top with sprinkles, if desired and serve warm!

Baked Strawberry Glazed Donuts Recipe uses fresh strawberries, strawberry yogurt, and strawberry preserves to create a sweet, tender donut! Ready to devour in just under 30 minutes!

Strawberry Frosted Donuts

butter

vanilla extract

strawberry flavored yogurt

brown sugar

all-purpose flour

baking soda

salt

strawberries (finely diced)

half & half

strawberry jam (I used Bonne Maman)

Pre-heat oven to 400°F. Prepare a donut pan (or 2 if you have 2) by greasing with butter and then sprinkling with flour.

Whisk together all wet ingredients (egg, melted butter, vanilla extract and yogurt).

In a medium bowl whisk together dry ingredients ( flour, sugar, baking soda and salt).

Combine wet ingredients with dry until just combined with a wooden spoon. The batter will be very stiff.

Fold in the diced strawberries.

Transfer the donut batter to a disposable piping bag and pipe into a greased donut pan. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until donuts are slightly golden. Allow donuts to cool for 5 minutes in the pan and then invert onto a cooling rack to fully cool!

Prepare glaze while donuts are cooling. In a medium deep bowl, whisk together confectioners sugar, heavy cream and strawberry jam.

Dip the tops of the donuts in the glaze and return to a cooling rack with a cookie sheet underneath to set. Garnish with fresh strawberries if desired!

Cup Buckwheat Flour

Cup Oat Flour

Cup Strawberries

Cup Coconut Oil

Cup Dates

Cup Walnuts

Salt

Add ingredients to high speed blender.

Blend until smooth and set aside.

Strawberry Frosting

Separate Oat Flour into separate mixing bowl.

Add remaining ingredients into blender to create wet mix.

Mix wet and dry ingredients in food processor to create dough, careful not to over work dough. (Keeps donuts fluffy).

Form donuts by using your hands and rolling dough into a donut shape.

Cut center of the donut out using the end of a cake dowel or other circular object.

Add to sheet to refrigerate for approximately 1 hour.

Remove from refrigerator and dip in Strawberry Frosting.

Enjoy chilled!

Easy Baked Strawberry Donuts (Vegan + GF)

strawberry purée

cane sugar* ((ensure organic for vegan-friendly))

avocado oil ((or sub melted refined coconut oil))

tsp vanilla extract

almond flour ((we

potato starch ((NOT potato flour))

arrowroot starch

tsp baking powder

tsp sea salt

1-1 ¼ cup powdered sugar ((ensure organic for vegan-friendly))

Tbsp strawberry purée

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (176 C) and generously grease your donut pan with avocado oil or refined coconut oil.

STRAWBERRY PURÉE: To make the strawberry purée, add strawberries to a high-speed blender and blend until super smooth, about 1 minute. 2 ⅓ cups fresh strawberries should make about 1 ¼ cups of strawberry purée. Set aside.

DONUTS: To a medium mixing bowl, add 1 cup of strawberry purée (adjust amount if altering batch size), cane sugar, avocado oil (or melted coconut oil), and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth and fully incorporated. Next add almond flour, potato starch, arrowroot starch, baking powder, and sea salt. Whisk until combined with no flour streaks remaining.

Spoon the batter into your prepared donut pan, dividing it between 12 donuts. You can also bake in batches if your donut pan only has six donut rings. Smooth the tops and bake for 20-22 minutes until the edges are golden and the donuts spring back when lightly pressed.

Let the donuts cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing and turning out onto a cooling rack to let cool completely.

GLAZE: Meanwhile, to a small bowl, add the lesser amount of powdered sugar, 3 Tbsp of the strawberry purée (adjust amount if altering batch size), vanilla extract, and sea salt. Whisk well to combine. If the mixture is too thin, add powdered sugar 1 Tbsp at a time until a thick yet pourable consistency is achieved. You want to be able to dip the donuts in the glaze and have it drip down the sides just slightly.

Once the donuts are fully cool, dip each one into the glaze, coating the top 1/3 of the donut, then flip and place them onto the cooling rack to set. Enjoy while the glaze is still drippy or wait 10-15 minutes for it to set! Best when enjoyed the day of, but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days or frozen for up to 1 month.

Easy Baked Strawberry Donuts (Vegan + GF) | Minimalist Baker Recipes

Strawberry Donuts are perfect, fluffy, baked donuts topped with a fresh homemade glaze and fruity slices of strawberries. With minimal ingredients, every bite is sweet and decadent.

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray a donut pan with cooking spray and set aside.

After rinsing and mincing 1 cup of fresh strawberries, place them on a paper towel to remove the excess moisture. Pat the minced strawberries dry. Then place them in a small mixing bowl and toss with 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour. Be sure all the strawberries are covered with flour.

In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour, 1 ¼ cup granulated sugar, 2 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon kosher salt and set aside.

Then in a large mixing bowl, whisk together 6 tablespoon melted unsalted butter, 2 eggs, 1 cup 2% milk, and 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract until combined.

Next, gradually add in the contents of the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and whisk until combined.

Gently fold the flour coated strawberries into the batter and ensure strawberries are interspersed throughout the batter.

Now add the batter to a piping bag and pipe into the prepared donut pan.

Place into a preheated oven and bake for 10 - 12 minutes. Check doneness by inserting a cake tester and ensuring it is clean when removed. Place the donut pan on a cooling rack for 10 minutes. Once cooled, remove donuts from the pan and allow to continue to cool on the cooling rack. When cool, remove donut holes.

While the strawberry donuts are cooling, prepare the glaze by whisking together 2 cups of sifted powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons 2% milk, ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract. Then add 2 teaspoons of strawberry gelatin and whisk together until the icing is thick and is not too thin.

Dunk each donut top down into the bowl of prepared donut icing. Remove from the icing bowl and allow to set and dry on the cooling rack.

Garnish with fresh strawberries and serve. Enjoy!
