Strawberry Mimosa Recipe

Add equal parts of orange juice and champagne to a glass, give a gentle stir and add in a few slices of strawberry and oranges for garnishing and extra flavor.

What's more festive than a strawberry mimosa? This berry spin on the classic stars fresh strawberries, orange juice and Prosecco.

Strawberry Mimosa

orange juice

Prosecco, champagne or other sparkling wine

Remove the tops from the strawberries. Add them to a blender with the orange juice and blend. (If you prefer a sweeter mimosa, you can add 1 ounce simple syrup.)

For each drink, add 1/2 cup of Prosecco to the champagne flute. Then pour in  1/4 cup of the strawberry puree.

Strawberry Orange Mimosa

tsps pure vanilla extract

oz (1/2 cup) orange juice

oz (1/4 cup) prepared Strawberry Vanilla Syrup

oz (1 cup) sparkling wine

step 1

For the Strawberry Vanilla Syrup, mix strawberries, water and sugar in small saucepan. Bring to boil; simmer 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until sugar is dissolved and berries are softened and pale in color. Remove from heat. Strain mixture through fine mesh strainer, smashing berry pulp with spatula to drain as much syrup as possible. Stir in Vanilla. Cover and refrigerate syrup until ready to use or place bowl in ice bath to cool quickly.

For the Mimosas, spoon 1 ounce (2 tablespoons) Strawberry Vanilla Syrup into each of 2 (8-ounce) champagne flutes. Add 2 ounces (1/4 cup) orange juice to each glass. Top with sparkling wine. Stir gently to swirl syrup. Garnish with strawberries and orange wedges, if desired. Serve immediately. Test Kitchen Tips:•Cava is a Spanish sparkling wine--it’s a bit on the sweeter side, but not quite as sweet as prosecco. It's similar to champagne, but with a slightly lower price tag, as it’s made with less expensive grapes. Prosecco is Italian sparkling wine, that’s typically middle of the road in sweetness. If you prefer a sweeter cocktail, with similar characteristics to champagne, go with a Spumante or Moscato d’asti.•Refrigerate remaining Strawberry Vanilla Syrup in an airtight container up to 2 weeks, or use to make Strawberry Shortcake Martinis for your Galentine’s Day celebration!
