A flavorful Chinese noodle dish made with simple ingredients and seasonings. This Asian comfort food, Tainan noodles recipe is the perfect last-minute recipe idea on busy nights or when you are not in the mood for cooking.

Tainan Noodles

oz noodles ((Lo-mein style noodles, thin noodles

soy sauce

½ tsp white sugar

tsp toasted sesame oil

salt and pepper ((to taste))

chopped green onions

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook the noodles according to the package instructions.Note: If you are going to use dried pasta, be sure to add about 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda per quart of water when cooking the pasta.

In a medium-size bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sugar, and sesame oil.

Drain the noodles and transfer to a bowl. Toss to coat the noodles with sauce. Taste and adjust the ingredients or use salt/pepper as needed.Let the noodles soak in the soy sauce and absorb those wonderful flavors for a few minutes before serving.

Serve with chopped green onions or any toppings of your choice. Enjoy!
