Mushroom Marinara Sandwiches Recipe

tbsp extra virgin olive oil

(14.5 oz.) no-salt-added diced tomatoes

tsp raw sugar

oregano

white button mushrooms, sliced

¼ tsp crushed red pepper (optional)

Mushroom Marinara Sandwiches

Jersey Mikes Italian cold cut sub is a classic Italian hoagie in the Philadelphia style. Soft hearth baked Italian roll, Italian meats and cheeses topped with the juice.

JERSEY MIKES ITALIAN SUB COPYCAT

Italian Rolls

Provolone cheese

Ham (domestic)

Genoa salami

Capocollo ham

Prosciutto

Pepperoni (deli sliced)

Iceberg lettuce

med Red onion

Tomato

tbsp Extra virgin olive oil

tbsp Red wine vinegar

tsp oregano

Chop

Layer

Layer the sub starting with the provolone cheese and then adding the rest of the meats. Spread all the meats and cheeses evenly across the sub base.

Top the meats with slices of onion, then lettuce and tomato

Pour

Pour or shake the olive oil, red wine vinegar on top of the condiments.

Dress

Dress the sub with pinches of oregano and salt

Top the sub with the remaining slice of roll. Cut in half and enjoy!

Large Can Diced Tomatoes

Cloves of Garlic (minced)

Sweet onion shallots (minced)

Pkg Johnsonville Sweet Italian Sausage

Lb Ground Turkey

Splash Red Wine (we use cooking red wine

salt and pepper

Mozzarella

Hoagie rolls

Unsalted Butter

Drizzle olive oil in a large pan and heat to med.

Add onion and cook until translucent.

Add garlic and cook until fragrant.

Add meat and cook until just barely done.

Add the rest of the ingredients, kosher salt and fresh black pepper to taste.

Simmer for 1 hour.

Cook the chicken and proceed by heating the oven to broil.

Butter the insides of the bread and sprinkle with garlic salt.

Add a spoonful or two of sauce to the bottom and place the chicken on top.

Cover the chicken in the sauce and add cheese.

Place under the broiler until the cheese is bubbly and add a dash of parsley to brighten the meal.

Italian Sub Sandwiches

garlic (about 1 medium clove)

red pepper flakes

Italian sub buns (sliced horizontally (not all the way through))

sandwich pepperoni (or about 4 ounces)

Genoa salami (or about 4 ounces)

capocollo (or about 3 ounces)

In a medium glass jar add garlic, italian seasoning, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, vinegar and olive oil. Shake and set off to the side.

MAKE THE DRESSING:

Cut the sub buns in half horizontally but leaving one side still attached. Tear out some of the soft bread in the center of each sub bun.

Shake the sub dressing before spooning some of it on the inside of the sub bun.

Place the mozzarella on the top side and the provelone on the bottom side of the sub bun. Layer the pepperoni, salami, sopressata and capocollo before topping with lettuce, tomato and any other desired toppings.
