Mexican 7 Layer Dip is an easy dip to make for parties. Layers Tex-Mex flavors come together in to make a simple cold dip to serve with tortilla chips.

Mexican 7 Layer Dip

Refried beans

Taco seasoning

Guacamole

Sour cream

Cheese (shredded)

Tomatoes (diced)

Black olives (sliced)

In a bowl combine the refried beans and taco seasoning. Stir until smooth.

Spread the refried beans in the bottom of a 13” x 9 “ casserole dish.

Top with a layer of guacamole.

Spread a layer of sour cream over the guacamole.

Add a layer of cheese over the sour cream.

Next a layer of fresh tomatoes.

Top with black olives and green onions.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Made with savory seasoned ground beef and just a few other simple ingredients, this Ground Beef Taco Dip is the ultimate appetizer for game day, holiday gatherings or just for snacking on movie nights.

Ground Beef Taco Dip Recipe

beef

sour cream

cream cheese (softened)

taco seasoning mix

water

lettuce

cheddar cheese (shredded)

tomatoes (diced)

black olives (2.25 ounces)

Crumble beef and brown it in a skillet over medium heat, breaking up any large chunks with a wooden spoon.

Drain off the excess fat, then stir in one packet of taco mix and ¾ cup water and Simmer until the water boils off, about 5 minutes. Set aside.

In a medium bowl, mix sour cream, cream cheese and the second seasoning packet. Mix together until all of the cream cheese mixture is smooth and creamy.

Pour sour cream mixture into an 8×8 baking dish and spread evenly.

Add ground meat to the top of the sour cream layer make the next layer.

Top the ground beef layer with shredded cheese.

Finally, add lettuce, diced tomatoes and black olives.

This taco dip recipe is fast and easy: the ideal party appetizer for a crowd! Scoop up this irresistible creamy mix with tortilla chips.

Greek yogurt (or sour cream)

salsa

cumin and chili powder

garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper

Mexican blend cheese

iceberg lettuce

tomato, chopped

black olives

Optional toppings: minced red onion, chopped cilantro, pickled jalapeños

In a large bowl, whisk the softened cream cheese, Greek yogurt, salsa and spices until it’s fully smooth. The mixture will start out chunky, but keep whisking until the cream cheese is fully smooth. (It takes a few minutes, so be patient!)

Place the cheese mixture in the bottom of a circular glass pie plate or other circular dish. Smooth into an even layer.

Top with the cheese, chopped lettuce, chopped tomato, black olives, and other optional toppings. Serve immediately with tortilla chips, or refrigerate until serving. (Leftovers last up to 3 days refrigerated.)

To say this is delicious is an huge understatement!!! This is easy enough to be an every day dip for my family, but seriously delicious enough to be the talk of the party for get-togethers!  Thank you for this amazing recipe!

7-Layer Taco Dip (BEST RECIPE!)

beans

½ cup green or red salsa

avocados

lime juice

cilantro (finely chopped)

Salt and pepper

chili powder

cumin

oregano

garlic powder

black pepper

Mexican (cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese, finely shredded)

cherry tomatoes (chopped)

black olives (sliced)

green onions

BEAN LAYER: Mix the refried beans and salsa together until evenly combined. Smooth into the bottom of a 9x13-inch dish.

GUACAMOLE LAYER: Mash the avocado and lime juice together until smooth. Stir in the cilantro. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Spread over the bean layer.

SOUR CREAM LAYER: Mix the sour cream and seasonings together until smooth. Spread over the guacamole layer. (Spread the sour cream all the way to the edges to cover the guacamole so it doesn’t brown.)

OTHER LAYERS: Sprinkle the cheese, tomatoes, olives and green onions evenly over the sour cream layer.

Serve immediately, or cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. The dip can be made up to 8 hours in advance. Enjoy!

This is the best 7 layer dip ever! 10 stars out of five! Iv'e made 7 layer dip before but not with these spices, it's perfect. I made one small change by adding 4 ounces of soften cream cheese to the sour cream part. so tasty. I will be making this more often.
