Mince the garlic. Add the garlic, olive oil, and ground beef to a large skillet and cook over medium heat until the ground beef is browned. If you&#039;re using a high fat content beef, you may want to drain off the excess fat before the next step.

Drain the can of black beans and add them to the skillet along with the diced tomatoes with green chiles (not drained), chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, oregano, salt, and  pepper. Stir and cook until the skillet is simmering.

Add the riced cauliflower to the skillet (no need to thaw, if frozen). Continue to stir and cook over medium heat until the cauliflower is tender (about five minutes).

While the beef and cauliflower are heating, dice the tomato, avocado, and red onion. Roughly chop the cilantro.

Top the beef and cauliflower mixture with the shredded cheddar. Place a lid on the skillet, and let it heat over medium for a few minutes, or until the cheddar has melted.

Once the cheese is melted, top the skillet with the tomato, avocado, red onion, and cilantro. Serve immediately.

Heat

Heat large non-stick skillet with deep sides over medium-high heat.

Cook

Cook ground beef, onion, garlic and taco seasoning until beef is browned.

Stir in

Stir in tomato sauce, salsa, brown rice and water.

Boil

Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium, cover and cook until rice is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed, about 10 minutes.

Remove

Top with shredded cheese, chopped lettuce, sour cream, chopped tomatoes, sliced jalapenos and cilantro leaves or your favorite toppings.

Serve

Serve on it’s own or in taco shells or tortillas!

Turkey Taco Skillet, an easy one-pan weeknight dinner using ground turkey, corn, pinto beans and salsa topped with tortilla chips and cheese.

Turkey Taco Skillet

lb 93% ground turkey

Salt and pepper

tbsp chili powder

tsp smoked paprika

tsp cumin

cayenne

pinto beans (drained)

corn kernels

oz jarred salsa (about 1 jar)

tortilla chips (about 4 oz)

shredded reduce fat Mexican cheese blend

cilantro (for topping)

Quick pickled onions (for topping)

tomatoes (for topping)

In a large skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil. When heated, add the onion and jalapeño and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes.

Add the ground turkey and season with salt and pepper. Cook the turkey until it is browned, crumbling the meat into small pieces as it cooks.

Add the chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, cayenne, pinto beans, corn and salsa. Mix well. Let the mixture cook for 3 minutes.

Lightly crumble the chips over the top of the turkey, then sprinkle the cheese over the top of the chips.

Cover the turkey skillet with a lid and let it cook for 1 to 2 minutes, or until the cheese melts or place it under the broiler 2 to 3 minutes.

Remove the pan from the heat and top the turkey skillet with chopped cilantro, pickled red onions, chopped tomatoes, plus optional toppings like avocado, guacamole or sour cream, if desired and serve with lime wedges.

Lean ground turkey and vegetables cook up fast with taco seasoning and salsa to create a delicious, low-carb taco skillet.

Easy Ground Turkey Taco Skillet

It has a rich onion taste and is fit for food dishes like French onion soup. Yellow onions are typically available throughout the year. This onion is higher in sulphur than the white onion, which gives it a stronger, more complex flavour. A dozen varieties of yellow onion are grown, following the time of year....

Brown

Add the oil to a large saute pan, and heat over medium-high heat. Once the oil is heated, add in the ground meat and cook until no longer pink, crumbling well while cooking.

Saute

Once the turkey has fully cooked, drain off any excess grease if needed (this is rarely needed when cooking with lean ground turkey.) Add in the onion, pepper, zucchini, and jalapeno if using, and saute for 3-5 minutes or until the onion begins to become translucent. Add in the garlic, if using, and saute for 30-60 seconds, just until you begin to smell the garlic.

Add in the salsa, and taco seasoning to the skillet and stir well.

Simmer

Bring to a gentle simmer and then reduce the heat to medium-low. Simmer for 10 min, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are softened.

Turn off the heat and add in the lime juice, stirring to incorporate.

Warm

Generously sprinkle the skillet mixture with the shredded cheese and let it sit for a few minutes until the cheese is melted.

Serve warm with cilantro, sour cream, and/or avocado as desired.

Easy Taco Skillet

This Taco Skillet is made with taco meat, bell peppers, and diced tomatoes. Top with plenty of cheese, sour cream, and guacamole. This is low-carb and Keto.

In large non-stick skillet, cook beef, bell peppers, and yellow onion over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently, until meat is thoroughly cooked and veggies are tender; drain. Stir in water and taco seasoning mix; heat to boiling. Cook until water is absorbed.

Add the tomatoes and cook until liquid is gone. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese on and let it melt by covering with a lid. Top with desired toppings and eat.

Made this meal. Very  good. Used 10-oz diced tomato with green chili and 90/10 ground sirloin. Worked fine. Used Green bell pepper. Served over some white rice (that's cheating I know). Rate +++

This is really tasty! I made it with ground turkey instead of beef. My family ate it on street taco tortillas and I had mine as is. Everyone loved it! So glad I found this recipe and cannot wait to try more! 

I made this dish this week and it was so yummy. Very easy to prep and make. This will be a dish we will definitely make again and again.
