Taco spaghetti is an epic mash-up of two family faves: tacos and spaghetti! The whole thing comes together in one pot and is ready in just 30 minutes.

Easy Taco Spaghetti Recipe

green bell pepper, diced

taco seasoning

(19 ounce) can Rotel tomatoes

spaghetti

chicken broth

Mexican cheese

Cilantro,

Green onions,

Melt the butter in a deep, large skillet. Add the ground beef, onions, and bell peppers. Cook until the ground beef is browned, about 5 minutes. Drain excess fat from the ground beef.

Add the taco seasoning, Rotel, spaghetti, and chicken broth to the skillet. Bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for 15 minutes or until the spaghetti is cooked to al dente.

Remove the skillet from the heat, sprinkle the cheese over the top, then cover until the cheese is melted. Top with cilantro and green onions. Serve and enjoy!

This tasty taco spaghetti is a tasty, kid-friendly and easy weeknight meal that’s made with seasoned ground beef, spaghetti, taco seasoning, and gooey, melted cheese.

Taco Spaghetti

Rotel tomatoes

spaghetti noodles, (uncooked)

water

cheddar cheese, (shredded)

cilantro, (chopped)

Heat olive oil in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat. 

Brown ground beef and onion in the skillet until the meat is no longer pink and onions are soft and translucent.

Add the taco seasoning, Rotel tomatoes (including juice), spaghetti noodles, and water.

Bring to a boil over high heat. Once the water comes to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.

Remove from heat. Sprinkle half of the cheese into the pan and stir to distribute the cooked spaghetti and cheese throughout the pan.

Top with remaining cheese and cilantro. Serve.

A simple, flavorful taco spaghetti bake made with your favorite taco fixin’s. How to make taco spaghetti with ground beef, rotel, black beans—whatever you like! All in under an hour.

Taco Spaghetti Casserole

noodles

oz ground meat of choice ((beef, turkey, chicken))

Tbsp taco seasoning

black beans (drained & rinsed)

oz canned diced tomatoes & green chiles ((mild Rotel))

Tbsp salsa

¾ cup shredded Mexican cheese

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

Cook spaghetti noodles according to package directions.

Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat and saute onion for 2-3 minutes. Add ground meat of choice and cook through.

Season meat to taste with taco seasoning, stirring to combine. Add beans, diced tomatoes&amp; green chiles, salsa, and ¼ cup of cheese. Stir to integrate.

Add cooked and drained spaghetti to meat mixture, tossing to combine.

Transfer to a 13x9-inch baking or casserole dish and cover with remaining ½ cup of cheese.

Bake 25 minutes, until browned on top.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for 5-7 days.

Before baking, store casserole in a freezer-safe glass baking dish or casserole dish with a lid. Allow to cool completely, then cover and freeze for 1-3 months.

Thaw overnight (~24 hours) in the fridge before you plan to bake the casserole.

Once thawed, bake at 350°F (180°C) for 25-30 minutes. (Check to see how it’s heating through—you may need to bake for up to an hour after freezing &amp; thawing.)

3 CRAZY Spaghetti Recipes + Spaghetti Grilled Cheese (?!)

Enjoy this quick and tasty Taco Spaghetti made with common ingredients easily in one pot right on the stovetop. 

One-Pot Taco Spaghetti Recipe

garlic

Worcestershire Sauce

cheddar cheese

Monterey Jack Cheese

Brown the ground beef in a Dutch oven or large pot over medium heat. When the beef is about halfway browned, add the onions and continue cooking until the beef is browned and the onions are soft.

Reduce the heat to low and add the garlic. Stir and cook for 1 minute. 

Increase the heat to medium and add the Rotel tomatoes, taco seasoning, beef broth, tomato paste, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring the mixture to a boil.  

Add the spaghetti. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook until the spaghetti is tender, approximately 15-20 minutes.  Scrape the bottom of the pot several times and stir frequently.-

Remove from the heat and top with both cheeses. Place a lid on the pot and let the cheese melt for several minutes. Remove the lid, stir the cheese in, and top with chopped cilantro.

Yummy! I will be making this again :) 

I decided to make this last minute and didn’t have some of the exact ingredients but I made it work. I don’t keep broth in the house so I used Better Than Bouillon paste and water; part Beef and part Chicken because I didn’t have enough Beef. I even added a bit more of the bouillon paste in the end to give the flavor an extra boost. It tasted great without the boost too though. I had just enough Cheddar but no Monterey Jack so I added Velveeta. I know, I know, some of y’all are probably cringing right now. But hey, it’s what I had lol! Next time I will make sure to have the proper cheeses for sure. I also used Cavatappi pasta since I was out of spaghetti. It all worked out and tasted really good! I loved only using one pot too.

I'd love to try this with ground turkey! My husband prefers it over regular meat.
