Crock Pot Teriyaki Steak Bites

lb Sirloin steak

soy sauce, low sodium

water

honey

brown sugar

garlic,

Tbsp. sesame oil

Tbsp. ginger, fresh, minced

black pepper

Tbsp. corn starch + 1/4 cup water (optional:

First, make the sauce! In a medium sized bowl, whisk together the sesame oil, crushed/minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, water, honey, brown sugar, pepper, and sesame seeds  This will make ~3 cups of sauce.

Next, cut/cube up the sirloin into bite sized pieces. Place the sirloin in your crock pot followed by the sauce.Put the lid on and cook on low for 2-3 hours or until the steak reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.

The sauce will be thin. If you like it that way, perfect! If you&#039;d like to thicken it (which I recommend), carefully pour the sauce in a small saucepan on the stove and bring it to a simmer, mix 2 Tbsp. corn starch and 1/4 cup water together and whisk it into the sauce until it thickens. Garnish with green onions and more sesame seeds. Enjoy as is or serve with rice and your veggie of choice! I like broccoli, asparagus or a green salad.

Teriyaki Steak Bites

My Sriracha Ground Turkey Meatballs are a perfect 30 minute weeknight dinner solution. They have the perfect balance of heat and savory goodness. Served with a Sriracha honey glaze (that I am obsessed with!), rice, and broccoli for a balanced meal!

Sriracha Ground Turkey Meatballs

turkey

panko breadcrumbs

Tbsp. fresh cilantro, chopped (or parsley)

Tbsp. Sriracha

olive oil

soy sauce

onion powder

kosher

butter, unsalted

Tbsp. Sriracha (more or less to taste)

Tbsp. rice vinegar

tsp. ginger (minced if using fresh or ginger paste)

garlic

green onions and sesame seeds

Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. If you don&#39;t have any parchment paper, spray baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.

Add all of the ingredients for the meatballs together in a large mixing bowl.

Mix ingredients together, being careful not to over mix. The mixture should be moist and able to form together into meatballs, I recommend using a 2 Tbsp. cookie scoop to keep meatballs a uniform size.

Place the meatballs onto the prepared baking sheet. Will yield ~16 meatballs depending on the size you make them.

Bake for ~15 minutes, or until fully cooked. (165°F for ground turkey)

For the meatballs

While the meatballs are baking, you can make the sauce. In a medium saucepan or skillet over medium heat, combine all ingredients together. Bring the sauce to a gentle boil then down to a simmer. Simmer until sauce thickens into more of a glaze consistency, it can take ~5-10 minutes to reduce.

You can add the meatballs to the sauce, or keep it on the side.

Serve with rice and veggie of choice and garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, and they sauce. Enjoy!

I made these and my son and I both loved them!  Great flavor and the meatballs were moist.  The sauce had the perfect flavor!  We will make these often!

This was absolutely delicious.  I’m kind of a spice wuss, so may do 1tbsp of sriracha in the sauce next time, but it didn’t stop me from enjoying today!

Zutaten vorbereiten

Zutaten für die selbstgemachte Teriyaki Sauce bereitlegen.

Verrühren 

In einem Topf Sake, Mirin, Sojasauce und Zucker verrühren und bei mittlerer Hitze aufkochen.

Kochen

Sobald die Sauce aufgekocht ist, die Hitze auf kleinste Stufe stellen und 15 Minuten köcheln lassen. Dabei regelmäßig umrühren, um den Zucker aufzulösen.

Kühlen

Nach der Kochzeit die Sauce entweder direkt weiterverwenden oder in ein Schraubglas füllen und mit offenem Deckel auskühlen lassen (dann wird die Konsistenz noch etwas zäher). Schließlich das Glas zuschrauben und für bis zu 3 Wochen im Kühlschrank aufbewahren. Fertig – Itadakimasu!
