This Tortellini Bake is an easy, one-skillet, dinner loaded with meat, sauce and melty cheese that the whole family will love!

Preheat oven to 375°F

Add ground beef and brown until no pink...

Add in garlic and cook for a minute...

This Cheesy Vegetarian Tortellini Bake comes together in about 20 minutes, with less than 10 ingredients, and all in one pan! It's an ideal weeknight dinner for when you're short on time but still want to get a hot meal on the table! 

Cheese Tortellini Bake

Add spinach, spaghetti sauce, water, oregano, thyme, Parmesan, tortellini, and a couple pinches of salt and pepper to a large baking dish. 

Stir until everything is well combined. 

Cover with a lid or a tight-fitting piece of tin foil.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until tortellini al cooked al dente and the sauce is bubbly.

Remove lid/foil and broil for 1-2 minutes or until the cheese on top starts to turn dark golden brown.

Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and enjoy!

Can I freeze this? Put it together and then freeze for the husband to cook in a couple weeks? Or should I bake now and then freeze?

The cooking time was way off. I had to cook for 30 minutes, otherwise good recipe.

I made this for my grandkids tonight and they loved it!!!  Easy and they liked it-  Bonus  Thank you for the great recipe.

I used a different brand of fresh tortellini that was stuffed with ground beef, so it took a little longer to cook, about 40 minutes. Otherwise, the spinach in the pasta sauce turned out so yummy!

I had to add sweet Italian sausage and ground beef or the men won't eat it.  The ladies had seconds and the guys had thirds, it was that good!  Served it with Caesar salad and Garlic bread.

Ok so I had no red sauce and only had a small bag of fridge pasta and a container of rana alfredo. So same concept just smaller amount and diff sauce. I added frozen broccoli. Cooked as directed. Came out perfect. Cannot wait til tmrw as I’m making the original version after I get the ingredients. This is a winner of a recipe. No dishes to be done either if you use a dollar store aluminum pan which I did. Thanks for this! I normally will make things with frozen pasta but never was sure how to use the refrigerated kind.

This cheesy Tortellini and Sausage bake is comfort food at its best! Delicious tortellini pasta, crumbled Italian sausage, and marinara sauce is topped with a layer of creamy ricotta. It&#39;s a 30-minute crowd pleaser that&#39;s also perfect for a busy weeknight

Tortellini and Sausage Bake

oz full-fat ricotta cheese

tbsp cooking oil

Italian pork sausage

onion (chopped; about 1 cup)

garlic (minced)

oz marinara sauce

water or broth

16-20 oz refrigerated tortellini (I used spinach tortellini)

Salt and pepper (to taste)

In a bowl, whisk ricotta, egg, ½ tsp salt, and ¼ tsp pepper. Set aside.

In a large oven-safe skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. When hot, add sausage and crumble. When halfway cooked, add onion to soften for 3-4 minutes. Then stir in garlic for 30 seconds.

Pour in marinara sauce and use your wooden spoon to scrape any browned bits on the bottom. Then add the water or broth into the empty marinara jar and shake well to get every drop of marinara sauce. Pour into pan. Season with salt and pepper and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Meanwhile, turn the Broil function on your oven.

Turn off the heat. Season the sauce to taste, then add the tortellini and stir well. Spread an even layer of the ricotta mixture on top and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Broil in oven for 3-5 minutes or until top is golden brown. Keep an eye on it! Then let cool for a couple minutes before serving. Option to top with fresh basil.

An easy and crowd-pleasing dinner with no boiling required! The tortellini cooks in the oven while absorbing all the delicious flavors of the meaty ground turkey sauce.&nbsp;

Baked Tortellini Casserole

½ turkey

tomato sauce

ricotta milk

½ pounds cheese tortellini

mozzarella

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spray a large casserole dish or 9 x 13 inch baking dish with nonstick spray and set aside.

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add in onion and cook for 3 minutes until softened. Then add in garlic, salt, Italian seasonings, and ground turkey. Cook, breaking up meat with a spoon, until browned through, about 7 minutes. Add in tomato sauce and bring to a low simmer.

Once the sauce is simmering, turn off heat and stir in ricotta. Set aside

Pour the uncooked tortellini into the prepared baking dish. Add the sauce over top and gently toss to coat the tortellini. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top and cover with foil.

Bake for 20 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes. Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.

Used Victoria Marinara instead of tomato sauce. Definitely putting this on my weekly rotation! Thank you!
