Hearty, comforting and totally delicious, this regional dish will help complete a substantial breakfast meal that will get you through the day.

Turkey Sausage Gravy Recipe

Lbs. Breakfast Sausage (I used breakfast sage turkey sausage)

Tbs. Unsalted butter

Tbs. All Purpose Flour (5 Tbs gluten free flour)

onion

Garlic gloves minced

Tsp. Black pepper

Cup Fresh Parsley

Cup Almond milk

Heavy Whipping Cream

red peppers

Green onion

Cook the meat

In a medium to large sauce pan, add the butter and sausage. Cook the sausage until starting to brown over medium heat. Add the onions, garlic, pepper to taste and stir.

Add herbs and stir

Periodically add the flour while stirring consistently. Add parsley to mixture and combine.Add milk and heavy cream and continue to stir. Add crushed red peppers and green onion. Stir and let simmer for 5 minutes. Serve over biscuits and enjoy!
