Easy Turmeric Tea

turmeric

black pepper

lemon juice

water

raw honey

Simmer

In a small pot, add water, turmeric, lemon juice, and black pepper. Whisk together and heat over high heat. When the tea just starts to boil, turn the heat down to low and simmer for 10 minutes.

Rest

Once the tea is finished simmering, turn off the heat, add the honey, and let the tea cool for a minute or two.

Serve

Pour the tea into a mug through a strainer to remove the black pepper and enjoy.

Ginger, Lemon and Cayenne Shot Recipe

lemons, washed well and sliced in half

ginger,

cayenne pepper

Run the lemons and ginger through a juicer, if you’re using raw turmeric root also run this through the juicer.

Strain the juice through a sieve or mesh strainer.

You can also juice the lemon by hand and grate the ginger into a mesh strainer, pressing to extract as much liquid as possible.

Stir the lemon juice into the ginger juice.

Stir the cayenne pepper into the juice and drink as a shot, again, if you’re using turmeric powder instead of raw turmeric, you would stir this in too.&nbsp;
