Instant Pot Vegan Butter Chicken With Soy Curls And Chickpeas - Oil-Free

tomatoes tomatoes

water (, use 1 cup if the tomatoes arent very juicy)

soy curls ((dry, not rehydrated))

Instant Pot Vegan Butter Chicken with Soy Curls and Chickpeas - oil-free

Blend the tomatoes, garlic, ginger, chile with water until smooth.

Add pureed tomato mixture to the Instant pot or pressure cooker.  Add soy curls, chickpeas, spices and salt. Close the lid and press manual/pressure cook for 8 to 10 minutes. (6 minutes for stove top pressure cooker). Quick release after 10 minutes. (See notes for Stove top instructions)

Start the IP on saute (medium heat for stove top pressure cooker). Add the cashew cream, garam masala, sweetener and fenugreek leaves and mix in. Bring to a boil, taste and adjust salt, heat, sweet. Add more cayenne and salt if needed. Fold in the chopped green chile, ginger and cilantro and press cancel(take off heat).&nbsp;

At this point you can add some vegan butter or oil for additional buttery flavor.&nbsp;Serve hot over rice or with flatbread or Naan.

Instant Pot Vegan Butter Chicken with Soycurls and Chickpeas | Vegan Richa Recipes

This Vegan Butter Chicken will blow your mind and impress your friends! It’s a healthier version of the classic, and so rich and creamy!

Vegan Butter Chicken (with Amazing Tofu)

cornstarch

½ teaspoon garam masala

chili powder

curry powder

coconut oil

firm tofu (pressed*)

garam masala

chilli powder

black pepper

onion

sea salt

oz coconut milk

(6 oz tomato paste)

lime

Cut the pressed tofu into cubes, or tear into cube size pieces for extra texture.

Mix the cornstarch and the seasonings together. Add the tofu cubes into the bowl and toss to combine, until all pieces are coated. Set aside or cover and marinate for at least 15 minutes.

In a pan over medium high heat, heat the oil. Once hot, Add in the tofu cubes and brown and crisp until all sides are completely browned and crisped up. Remove the tofu and set aside.

Amazing Tofu

In the same pan over medium high heat, heat the rest of the coconut oil. Add the onions and sauté for about 4 minutes until translucent.

Add in the the garam masala, ground ginger, chill powder, sea salt, ground black pepper and the curry powder. Stir together and let the seasonings cook for about 30 seconds.

Stir in the coconut milk and tomato paste, stirring for about 15 seconds to incorporate everything. You can use whisk or just stir throughly to combine the tomato paste completely.

Bring the mixture to a slightly boil and then reduce to a simmer and cook together for about 5 minutes, allowing the mixture to thicken.

Add in the tofu, combined gently to cover it with the sauce.

Reduce the heat to a simmer, cooking for another 5-10 minutes to allow the tofu to soak up some flavours and to marinate. Squeeze the lime over the mixture and stir to combine it into it. Taste and season with more salt if you'd like.

Remove the vegan butter chicken from the heat. Garnish with parsley and serve with basmati rice and homemade whole wheat naan.

Butter Tofu Paneer - Restaurant Style Tofu Butter Masala Recipe

oz firm tofu (pressed between paper towels

tsp each of garam masala (,paprika, salt, and turmeric)

tsp ginger paste (or minced ginger)

garlic paste garlic

lemon juice

water (1/2 tbsp)

yeast (optional)

tsp oil

tsp oil (or vegan butter)

tomatoes

1 inch cube of ginger (1/2 inch chopped, 1/2 inch julienned or

tsp paprika (or kashmiri chili powder)

water

tsp kasooori methi - dried fenugreek leaves

tsp salt

Press and cube the tofu if you havent already. In a bowl, mix the rest of the ingredients under baked tofu, to make a marinade. Add tofu and toss well. Marinade for 15 min (optional). Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F / 200ºc. Place the tofu cubes on parchment lined sheet. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.

Bake the Tofu:

Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until golden. You can also add in 1 bay leaf and 1 cinnamon stick with the garlic for additional flavor. Remove these before serving.

Puree the tomato with the chopped ginger and half the green chile. Add to the skillet and cook until the puree starts to thicken and does not taste raw tomatoey. Dont wash the blender.

In the same blender, blend the cashews and water until smooth. Blend the cashews for a minute, let it rest for a minute and then blend again for about a minute for a creamy result. Works with unsoaked cashews. Or use premade thin cashew cream (about 1/2 cup).

Reserve 1 tbsp of the cream for garnish. Add the rest of the cashew cream to the skillet. Add spices, fenugreek leaves, salt and sugar and mix well. Use 1/2 cup water to rinse out your blender and add to the skillet. Mix and Bring to a boil. Taste and adjust salt, heat (add cayenne) and sweet. Add more water if needed for preferred consistency. Add more cashew cream for creamier.

Fold in the baked tofu. Simmer for a minute. Mix in the julienned ginger and green chile. Alternatively, mix half of the ginger and chile and use half as garnish. Add a drizzle of the cashew cream and other garnishes as pepper flakes, chopped cilantro. Serve over Easy Garlic Naan, rice or roti.

Indian Butter Tofu "Paneer" - Tofu in Butter Masala Sauce | Vegan Richa Recipe

A simple version of the popular Indian dish, made completely vegan! Tofu is prepared in a unique way that couldn&#039;t be easier and somehow makes it taste a lot like chicken.

Vegan Butter Chicken

(16 oz) blocks extra-firm tofu

olive oil

vegan butter ((or olive oil))

onion,

garlic,

coriander

cayenne pepper

tomato paste

(13.5 oz) canned full fat coconut milk

rice

chopped cilantro

Easy Vegan Naan

Press the tofu: Wrap the block of tofu in paper towels. Place a plate or pan on top of the wrapped tofu, and put a couple of heavy books on top of that. Let the tofu press for 20 minutes. (You can skip this step if you get the super firm variety)

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Slice the tofu into about 6 slices (see photos in post above for reference). Now, rip each slice into medium-large pieces. You can also simply cut them into cubes, if you prefer, but ripping gives the tofu a great texture for this dish.

Add the tofu pieces to a large ziplock bag, along with the olive oil, cornstarch and salt. Close the bag, and shake gently to coat. Arrange the tofu evenly on the prepared pan, and bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden and crispy.

While the tofu bakes, prepare the sauce: Melt the 2 tablespoons of vegan butter in a large pan over medium-high heat. Saute the onion for 3-4 minutes in the butter, then add the ginger and garlic and cook for 1 more minute. Add the spices, salt, tomato paste and coconut milk. Stir until smooth and combined, then simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring frequently.

When the tofu is done baking, add it to the sauce and stir to coat the pieces. Serve over rice with Easy Vegan Naan. Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro. Enjoy!

Put your oil in a large pan and bring up to a medium-high heat.

Fry the onion until it starts to soften and turn translucent.

Add the garlic, ginger, spices, bay leaf and cook for a couple of minutes until fragrant.

Pour in the passata, give it a stir and bring up to a simmer.

Stir in the cream, butter and ground almonds - if the curry starts to look too thick at this point, just add some water, as the almonds can cause it to thicken up.

Put the peas and lime juice in (if using), give it a good stir and season to taste, around 1/4 teaspoon of salt should be enough.

Serve up with rice and some of our delicious naan bread.

A creamy, savory, rich vegan &quot;butter chicken&quot; recipe made with tofu. This recipe is 100% meat-free and packed with insane flavor. Pair this dish with rice, naan, or roti.

Vegan Butter Chicken (Murgh Makhani)

firm tofu

Salt

all-purpose flour

vegan butter

cumin seeds

garlic (crushed)

ginger (crushed)

cayenne pepper (adjust to taste, optional)

coconut milk

sugar (to tone down acidity, optional)

Freeze the tofu block overnight for at least 12 hours. Remove from freezer and thaw in the microwave for 10 minutes, or until soft. Carefully drain and press water from tofu block. freezing tofu helps create a &quot;meaty&quot; texture - I promise it&#039;s worth it.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. In a mixing bowl, carefully toss tofu with oil, salt, and then coat with flour.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the tofu pieces onto the baking sheet with space in between each piece. Bake the tofu pieces for 30 minutes, flipping halfway.  Once done baking, remove the tofu pieces from the oven and set aside

Tofu &quot;Chicken&quot;

While the tofu is baking, in a large pan or skillet over medium heat, add 3 tablespoons of butter. Once butter is bubbling,  add the cumin seeds and cook for one minute.

Next, add the onions in the pan until they are tender, about 4-6 minutes. Add the crushed garlic and ginger, tomato paste. Cook for 1 minute.

Add to the pan the rest of the spices, salt, coconut milk. Stir well. Lower heat to low and simmer for 3 minutes.

Carefully transfer the vegan butter chicken gravy into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour the gravy back into the pan and add the tofu pieces. Stir and coat well. Stir in a pinch of sugar (optional) Simmer over low for 5 minutes. Serve.

This is the BEST vegan version of Instant Pot Butter Chicken - using whole food ingredients like bell peppers, carrots, and onions. It&#039;s got a mild creamy flavor with the addition of canned coconut milk.

Vegan Instant Pot Butter Chicken

Chop up all of the peppers, onion, and carrots, and add them to the Instant Pot. Add in the tomato paste, water, and curry powder. Drain the tofu and place it on top of the veggies.

Close and seal the lid of the Instant Pot and cook at high pressure for 20 minutes. Do a quick release when done.

Carefully remove the tofu and a third of the veggies. Chop up the tofu into bite-sized pieces.

Add the canned coconut milk into the Instant Pot and use an immersion blender to blend until it&#039;s smooth. Then add in the chopped tofu and the reserved veggies. Enjoy with rice, naan, and a garnish of chopped cilantro (coriander leaves) if desired. Keeps in the fridge up to 3 days.

Rice or naan

In a bowl, mix together plant-based yogurt, garam masala, ground coriander, ground turmeric, and a pinch of salt. Add the tofu cubes to the marinade. Let it marinate for 20-30 minutes. Then cook the tofu in an air fryer or oven at 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit) for 20 minutes.

Prepare the ingredients:

Meanwhile, heat the oil in a pan. When the oil is heated, add the onion and whole cumin seeds. Stir-fry until the onion becomes transparent (about 1 minute).

Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped chili pepper to the pan and fry for an additional 1 minute.

Add the chopped tomatoes, drained cashews, and a little water. Stir for a few more minutes, then add the spices: salt, sugar, ground coriander, ground turmeric, and chili powder. Mix well and simmer for 10-15 minutes until the tomatoes become soft and mushy.

Turn off the heat. Use an immersion blender or stand blender to puree the mixture. Pour the mixture back into the pan.

Add the cooked tofu and soy cream to the pan. Garnish with chopped cilantro.
