This delicious homemade vegan focaccia bread recipe is so easy to make. Topped with fresh rosemary, sea salt and olive oil it&#39;s the best ever.

Vegan Focaccia

Vegan Butter

Tablespoons Olive Oil (Extra Virgin, Divided)

All Purpose Flour ((416 grams))

Packet Instant Yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)

White Granulated Sugar

Salt

Water

Rosemary

Grease a 9x13 oven safe dish with vegan butter. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of olive oil over the bottom of the greased dish.

Add all purpose flour, instant yeast, sugar and salt to a mixing bowl and mix together.

Add warm water and 2 tablespoons of olive oil and mix into a shaggy dough.

Transfer the dough to the prepared 9x13 baking dish. Just tip the dough out into the dish, don&#39;t try and spread it or anything, just let it sit in the dish however it lands.

Cover the dough and let it rise for 1 hour.

After 1 hour you&#39;ll see that the dough will have risen and spread out in the dish.

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

Dip your fingers in olive oil (to prevent them sticking) and then use your fingers to press holes all over the dough.

Sprinkle fresh rosemary and sea salt on top of the dough and drizzle the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil over the top.

Bake for 20 minutes until beautifully golden on top.

You can slice and serve directly in the dish, or you can remove the focaccia from the baking dish and cut into squares.

Serve fresh and warm from the oven.

This Garlic and Rosemary Focaccia Bread is the BEST I’ve ever had! It’s a definitely crowd pleaser made in just one bowl with roasted garlic and fragrant rosemary and is incredibly delicious!

Garlic and Rosemary Focaccia Bread

all-purpose flour

instant yeast ((or 1 packet))

sugar

salt

water

garlic (thinly sliced)

italian seasoning

rosemary

sea salt

Combine flour, dry yeast, sugar and salt in a large mixing bowl and stir until blended.

Combine water and 2 tablespoons olive oil in a 2-cup glass measuring cup OR microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH in 15 second increments until very warm but not hot to the touch (120° to 130°F). Add to flour mixture.

Fold over dough a few times, and then place in an oiled bowl (you can use ½ tablespoon of the olive oil) and cover. Allow to rise 6-8 hours on the counter, OR for 18-24 hours overnight in the fridge.

Generously oil a 13 x 9-inch pan and then pour the dough in. (Don’t worry if the dough isn’t even or filling the corners.) Cover with towel; let rise in warm place until it spreads naturally and rises again, about 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 400°F/200°C.

Using your lightly oiled finger, dimple the focaccia bread all over. Add the garlic pieces into a few of the holes evenly all over and sprinkle the italian seasoning and dried rosemary all over too. Drizzle the sea salt over too. Drizzle the remaining 2 tablespoons olive oil over the dough.

Bake for 30 minutes until golden brown on top. Remove from the oven. Cool slightly and top with more salt if desired, cut and serve with extra oil + balsamic vinegar for dipping. Enjoy!

This Easy Vegan Rosemary Focaccia recipe creates a deliciously fluffy and crunchy classic Italian focaccia bread, perfect for dipping into olive oil or balsamic vinegar.  Made with simple ingredients, this recipe is easy to follow and perfect for beginners and experienced bakers alike.

Vegan Rosemary Focaccia

oz bread flour (400 grams)

10-12 fl oz water (300-350 ml)

sachet sachet or dry active yeast (7 g, 1/4 oz)

tsp sugar

tbsp sea salt

tbsp extra virgin olive oil

rosemary (to taste)

Dry ingredients

Place the flour, dry yeast, salt and sugar in a large bowl and stir to combine.

Dough

Add the water little by little while continuing to mix - don&#39;t add all the water at once, add just enough to get the right consistency of the dough. It&#39;s supposed to be soft and sticky but not wet. Add 2 Tbsp of olive oil and gently knead with your hands for a few minutes.

Resting

Sprinkle the surface of the dough with a little flour, then cover the bowl with cling film and leave the dough to rest for two hours in a warm place.

Shaping

After two hours, cover the bottom of a baking tray with non-stick baking paper. Grease the paper with a little oil and place the dough on top. Flatten the dough with your hands gently pushing it to the corners. Leave the dough to rise for another 30 minutes.

Topping

After half an hour, push the surface of the dough with your fingertips and brush with a little olive oil. Sprinkle salt flakes on top and garnish with fresh rosemary.

Baking

Bake for 25 minutes at 350°F (180°C fan, 200°C static).

Serving

Serve hot or cold with your favourite dips and salads!

I've honestly been obsessed with focaccia this summer, it's such a staple recipe to add to your repertoire and the perfect starter, party food or simple snack for a good old night in with a good movie.

In terms of toppings, I like to keep it simple with either rosemary & sea salt (+ black pepper occasionally) and on this occasion I went with cherry tomatoes, olives & garlic, which turns out wonderfully roasted when it comes out of the oven.
