The best tasting vegan butter! It&#039;s plant based, super buttery, smooth, rich &amp; creamy &amp; can be made in minutes. Use it for all of your spreading and baking needs. No fancy ingredients are required and unlike most store bought vegan butters it is palm oil free.

Vegan Butter

almond flour (*)

nutritional yeast

salt

apple cider vinegar

turmeric (optional but helps make colour a little more yellow)

Melt the coconut oil. I put it in the microwave for 20 or 30 seconds but you can also stand the jar in some hot water. Measure it when it&#039;s liquid and not when it&#039;s solid, then set it aside for a few minutes to cool. Don&#039;t use it while it&#039;s hot or warm. Allow it to get to room temperature first.

Place the almond flour, milk, salt, nutritional yeast, vinegar and turmeric into a blender and blend until smooth. 

Pour in the refined coconut oil and olive oil then blend until velvety smooth. I use the smoothie setting on my blender. Don&#039;t let the blender get too warm while it&#039;s blending or the butter can split a bit. If your blender does run a little warm then blend in short bursts and give it a break for a minute or two in between.

Pour the liquid butter into a container, cover and refrigerate until set.

Let is soften at room temperature for a few minutes before spreading for ultimate creaminess and ease of spreading.

Simple Vegan Spread

3.5 oz sun-dried tomatoes (100 g)

red bell peppers (115 g)

raw cashews or almonds (70 g)

garlic

oregano

soy sauce

tbsp sweet paprika

tsp cumin

tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Place all the ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.

Store the spread in a glass jar in the fridge. It lasts for about 3 weeks.

I have just made this recipe and it tastes delicious.  Added 2 cloves of garlic instead of one but everything else the same.

How to Make Vegan Butter (Plant-Based Butter Alternative)

(240 mL) melted refined coconut oil ((Note 1))

(120 mL) sunflower oil

(60 mL) non-dairy milk ((such as almond, oat, soy or rice milk))

turmeric ((optional, for colour))

In a  bowl, whisk together all the ingredients until you get a homogeneous, pale mixture.

Refrigerate for about 10 – 15 minutes, until a bit firmer. Then, using a stand mixer with a whisk attachment or a hand mixer with the double beater attachments, whip the slightly firmed up vegan butter for about 2 minutes. It will become super pale and fluffy.

Transfer into a fridge-safe container of choice, smooth out the top and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or preferably overnight.

Once set, use as you would regular butter.

Storage:If stored in the fridge, the homemade vegan butter keeps for up to 2 weeks.You can also freeze it, in which case it keeps for up to about 3 months.

Homemade Vegan Maple Butter

butter (soft) ((or spread/margarine))

salt ((or

cinnamon ((be generous))

vanilla extract

maple syrup

Add the soft butter to a mixing bowl and whisk with a hand whisk, electric whisk or wooden spoon until soft and fluffy.

Add just one tablespoon of maple syrup along with the vanilla extract, cinnamon and salt.

Whisk until well combined, then add another tablespoon of maple syrup and whisk again.

Keep adding another tablespoon of maple syrup and whisking until you have added all 7 tablespoons. Adding them one spoonful at a time helps to get a good blend without it separating.

After each whisk, you will see it has become a little darker.

Once you have whisked in all the maple syrup, give it a taste to check the seasoning and to see if the maple syrup flavour is coming through well.

Add more salt, if you think it needs it and whisk again, but go lightly when adding it. You can also add one more spoonful of maple syrup and whisk again, but I wouldn&#39;t add much more than that as you want a buttery texture .It may not need any extra seasoning or maple syrup.

Spoon it into a clean jam jar or other airtight container and pop it in the fridge until you need it.
