Ginger Shots (Better Than Store Bought!)

ginger root

lemon juice (from 3-4 lemons)

coconut water

cayenne pepper

Add Ingredients

Place all ingredients in the pitcher of your high-powered blender.

Blend

Put the lid on the blender, and process until the ginger and lemon juice mixture is smooth.

Strain

Strain the liquid through a fine-mesh strainer.

Press

Press on the solids with the back of a spoon to extract as much juice as possible.

Serve

Pour the strained liquid into shot glasses and drink all at once.

Ginger shots are intensely flavored drinks that deliver a super-concentrated burst of ginger juice. They’ve become very popular items at juice bars and grocery stores for their powerful anti-inflammatory, immune-boosting, and antioxidant properties.

Ginger turmeric shots with lemon, cayenne, and orange. These wellness shots have powerful anti-inflammatory and immune boosting properties!

Ginger Turmeric Shots

inches Turmeric Root (about 1/4 cup fresh or 2 tbsp powder)

Ginger Root (about 1/4 cup)

Lemons, peeled

Oranges, peeled

Water

Cayenne Pepper

tsp ground Black Pepper (for turmeric absorption)

tsp Oil (*Optional: for turmeric absorption, see recipe notes)

Wash and dry fresh produce. Peel the lemons and oranges.

Bring 3/4 cup of water to a boil in a small pan. Once boiling, add turmeric root, reduce heat to medium high and simmer for 7-8 minutes. After simmering, remove turmeric root while reserving the liquid in the pan. Put liquid in fridge to cool.

While liquid cools, juice the turmeric root, ginger root, lemons, and oranges in a juicer. Stir in the cayenne, black pepper, and oil. Stir in the remaining cooled liquid from boiling the turmeric.

Pour into shot glasses and enjoy! Store the leftover ginger turmeric shots in an air tight container in the fridge. They will last about 2-3 days.

Where did you get those mini glass containers? I have large sized ones that look similar and would love to have all my bottles look the same (for aesthetic purposes).

When using the turmeric powder, do you still boil it in water prior to cooling and adding to the mixture?

🍹Turmeric Ginger Lemon Shots

½ large grapefruit (slik removed)

black pepper

litre mineral water

salt

Gather all the ingredients, wash, peel and chop.

Place all the ingredients in the blender.

Give it all a good whizz.

Strain the juice and bottle in your favorite bottles. I have special bottles just for this.

Refrigerate and consume within a week.
