Apple Cinnamon Old Fashioned Recipe

aromatic bitters

Musselman's Apple Butter

apple peel

club soda

bourbon (We like 4 Roses and Bulleit)

Place the sugar cube, bitters, Musselman's Apple Butter, apple peels and club soda in a glass. Muddle in the glass.

Then add ice and bourbon. Stir well and add the cinnamon stick.

oz whiskey (45 milliliters)

lemon juice (22 milliliters, recommend fresh)

oz cranberry juice (90 milliliters)

tsp sugar

Put everything in a cocktail mixer along with a few ice cubes. Cover and shake well. Either pour into a glass as it is, or serve over ice (suggest in an old fashioned class). I'd suggest a slice of lemon and some frozen cranberries as garnish.

Drizzle chocolate syrup around the inside of a glass.

Pour 1½ ounces of peanut butter whiskey, 1 ounce of chocolate liqueur and ½ cup of milk into a cocktail shaker.

Fill the rest of the shaker with ice.

Shake until cold and combined.

Pour into the chocolate-lined glass and serve.

In a lowball glass, place sugar or sugar cube. Douse with bitters to completely saturate. Add one thick strip of orange zest. Muddle together with a muddler or spoon for about a minute, until sugar is completely dissolved.

Add apple whiskey, stir to combine, then add ice and garnish with cocktail cherries.

Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and fill the shaker with ice. Cover and shake vigorously 12-15 times.

Fill a small tumbler with ice and double-strain into the cocktail into the glass. Garnish with a fresh sage leaf.

My prayers are with them and understand what they are going through - one of my sons was diagnosed with llc 6-years a go and so far has been able to aboid chemo.  He told the doctor he has 5 kids to raise and ever since his family is living life as if everyday is the last and know that they will always have these memories.  One of his brothers is a match if the time comes that he needs the bone marrow.    Praying that he never does.
