Hot Buttered Rum

tbsp. butter, softened

brown sugar

vanilla ice cream, softened

cinnamon

c. apple cider

c. rum

I did it with dark rum, and it was excellent. I used 50% more batter than shown.

Comforting and delicious.  Especially when something sets my allergies and asthma off

An Old-Fashioned Whiskey Cocktail is a simple mixture of whiskey, sugar, bitters and a citrus peel. It is a sublimely simple and delicious preparation for a wide range of spirits besides just whiskey—rum, tequila, brandy—and a fine apple brandy is no exception. Showcasing the earthy flavor of fermented apples with just a bit of sugar and bitters is a perfect preparation to enjoy classic holiday flavors in a new way.

Apple Brandy Old-Fashioned Recipe

oz simple syrup OR 1 sugar cube

Angostura bitters

oz apple brandy (such as Clear Creek)

lemon twist

If using sugar, place the sugar cube in the bottom of the glass and add the 2 dashes of bitters. Muddle well to blend the sugar and bitters, then add a few drops of water and stir to dissolve the sugar.

If using simple syrup, add the syrup and bitters to the glass.

Place a large chunk of ice into the glass filled with sugar and bitters and add the apple brandy. Stir well to incorporate the sugar and brandy.

Twist the lemon peel over the top, drop it into the glass and serve.

Use Stolichnaya vodka & expensive champagne and your drink will taste excellent. If you are going to use cheap champagne then skip that ingredient. Mixing a lot of ingredients together doesn't give you good results if you use inferior ones.

Possibly the WORST drink ever made!!  Every Single person that tasted this drink immediately poured it down the sink!  You people owe me money!!!  Awful!  Do not waste your time or ingredients making this dumpster fire recipe! Can I give it ZERO STARS?!?!?

These were re-named blue water at my party. Not recommended.

Jack Frosties Will Help You Survive Winter

Advocaat is often called Dutch egg nog, but it's actually more like a creamy brandy custard with a deep and rich flavor and a light, pudding-like texture.

DIY Advocaat Recipe

Fill a medium saucepan with 1 inch of water and bring to a simmer over high heat. Reduce to low. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, whisk the egg yolks with the salt, sugar, and cinnamon until sugar is dissolved and mixture falls from whisk in creamy pale yellow ribbons, about 4 minutes. Whisking continuously, pour in liquor.

Place bowl over simmering water and cook, whisking continuously, until mixture is thick enough to form a coat on the back of a spoon, about 8 minutes total. (If using thermometer, mixture should reach at least 130°F).

Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla. Pour into a sealable glass container and refrigerate for a minimum of 6 hours before serving. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.

This is very tasty, and of course high calorie. I made my own white chocolate liqueur since I couldn't find it at the store. I omit sugar rims unless I'm serving for guests. I think other flavored vodkas would be tasty in here as well like orange or whip.

Cranberry Blissmas Sangria Makes Christmas with Your Crazy Family a Breeze.

This amaretto sunrise cocktail is a beautiful, classy drink. Sweet amaretto liqueur is mixed with peach nectar and peach schnapps, followed by a drop of grenadine to mimic the look of a sunrise.

Amaretto Sunrise

oz peach nectar

oz amaretto

½ oz peach schnapps

grenadine

Add the peach nectar, amaretto, peach schnapps and ice to a serving glass, stir. 

Right before serving, add a dash of grenadine and let it sink to the bottom of the glass for the “sunrise” effect. Stir before drinking.

That sounds and looks fabulous! Pour me one!

Add whiskey, port, and allspice dram to a glass or cocktail shaker.

I'm looking forward to this recipe being in season again. It's one of my favorites to make.
