These are cute and easy. I made them several years ago. I use a miniature chocolate chip for the stem. I am going to put them on a peanut butter cake for Thanksgiving this year.

I used dark chocolate and caramel filled Kisses to make mine. Yum!

The most adorable recipe!! Love making this with my kids in the fall for a snack or for a autumn potluck. Easy to use as a edible craft too. Two big thumbs up!

These were fun & easy to make. I used premade chocolate frosting to hold the pieces together and chocolate chips for the stem instead of the melted chocolate and it worked out great. My 5 year old could make them by herself. We also made half with mini vanilla oreos for the people that dont like peanut butter.

Super simple and so cute. My granddaughter enjoyed making these with me. The second time I made them I used mini vanilla wafers in lieu of the peanut butter cookies. I also made a batch using pumpkin spice kisses.

I agree with the use of melted chocolate to put the chip on the top.

I suggest using a dab of chocolate to attach a chocolate chip to the top for the stem--easier than trying to get a perfect dollop of melted chocolate!

I made these to take to a ladies lunch, and they were such a hit, both in appearance and flavor. They were popular, too, in the size. That makes them dangerous, if you ask me, but I know I'll be making these often for fall functions. I used dark chocolate kisses and dark chocolate chips for the stems because dark is better for you, and I didn't want to mess with piping.

Made this with my 6yr old niece for Thanksgiving. It was lots of fun because it was so simple. The most difficult part was keeping the other family members from eating them as fast as we could assemble them.

I sent this idea in, with photos, about a year before it was published. I came up with the idea years ago when my children were in grammar school. I used to make these little acorns, along with cupcake turkeys, throughout their grammar school days and still make them for our Thanksgiving celebrations. Everyone always loves them!To KarenSaurer: The stem is piped onto the top of the cookie.KatieJo: Using half a cookie makes the top of the "acorn" too thin, unlike a real acorn whose top is half of the whole acorn and, as noted, you lose much of the peanut butter flavor. This simple recipe was an excellent project to make with my 6 year old son for school. We both had a great deal of fun while learning and following directions.

I just made these this afternoon. It was so quick and easy and they turned out super cute! To make them look a little more like an actual acorn, I split the cookies and topped each kiss with half a cookie. I think it would taste better to use the whole cookie since you'd get more peanut butter flavor, but if you're just going for looks, half a cookie looks way better. I was going to use mini chocolate chips for the stem but didn't have any, so I just followed the instructions and piped them. A couple didn't look great, but I didn't have as much trouble as I thought I would with it. Will definitely make these again!

I love these! They are so easy to make and look great and best of all they taste great! I will be making these again and again!

These are so easy to make!! They look great as decoration on the dinner table. Easy to snack on. Instead of piping the acorn stems I used mini chocolate chips and attached them with the melted chocolate that I used to attach the chocolate kiss to the cookie.

You could use Ritz Bits Peanut butter for a salty/sweet combo. Have not made these but thought they were Ritz until I read the recipe. I love they way they look and so easy too. Can't decide how I will make these for our gathering. So I gave it 1 star so I could write a comment. I would probably give it 5 stars after I make them up.
