Step 1

Preheat your air fryer to 390 degrees F (200°C) for about 5 minutes. Preheating helps to ensure even cooking.

Step 2

While the air fryer is preheating, take your fresh corn on the cob and trim the silk tassel sticking out of the top, if any. Leave the husk intact—this is crucial as it will protect the corn from direct heat and keep it juicy.

Step 3

Place the corn in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring the cobs aren't overcrowded. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook in batches.

Step 4

Close the air fryer and set the timer for 15-20 minutes.

Step 5

Halfway through the cooking time, open the air fryer and carefully turn the corn to ensure it cooks evenly.

Step 6

After the time is up, check one of the cobs to ensure it's done. The kernels should look plump and tender when pierced with a fork. If they aren't done, continue cooking for a few more minutes, checking frequently.

Step 7

Once the corn is done, carefully remove it from the air fryer (it will be hot) and let it cool enough to handle. Then, peel back the husk and silk—it should come off much easier now.

Step 8

Rub the cooked corn with butter, then season with salt and pepper to taste. Your delicious, juicy corn on the cob is now ready to be enjoyed!
