Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Step 2

Slice baguette into 1/4-inch slices and lightly coat each side with olive oil.

Step 3

Place on baking sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven.

Step 4

Line baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 5

Combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon and salt in medium bowl; stir well.

Step 6

In a separate bowl, whisk egg whites until frothy. Add in walnuts and toss to coat.

Step 7

Transfer walnuts to sugar bowl and stir to coat walnuts.

Step 8

Spread coated walnuts evenly on baking pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes (tossing halfway).

Step 9

Top each slice of bread with goat cheese, thinly sliced pear and 1-2 walnut halves.
