Place the spare ribs in a large stock pot with the barbeque sauce, onion, salt, and pepper.

Pour in enough water to cover the ribs.
Step 3
Bring the mixture to a low boil and cook for about 40 minutes.

Preheat the grill to high heat.
Step 5
Lightly oil the grill grates.
Step 6
Transfer the spare ribs to the grill.
Step 7
Grill the ribs, basting the ribs in the barbeque sauce from the stock pot and turning frequently, until the ribs are nicely browned and have reached 145 degrees F internally, about 20 minutes.
Step 8
Serve hot.
