Step 1
Preheat the smoker to 250F.
Step 2
Give each rib a good dusting of salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
Step 3
Coat each rib with a generous amount of your favorite BBQ rub. Make sure to press it into the meat for a good coating.
Step 4
Place the ribs inside the smoker for 2 hours. Add hickory or apple wood chips.
Step 5
Take the ribs out of the smoker and place in a foil pan.
Step 6
Turn the smoker up to 275F.
Step 7
Cover the ribs with your favorite BBQ sauce and brown sugar. Make sure all sides get a generous amount.
Step 8
Place the ribs, nestled into the foil pan, back into the smoker.
Step 9
Cook for another 2 hours.
Step 10
Remove the ribs and let them rest for 10 minutes before serving.
