Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Peel, core, and thinly slice the apples, and place them in a large bowl. Add the sugar, lemon juice, and cinnamon, and toss together. Place the fruit in a baking dish that is about 8x12 inches.
Step 2
Combine the oats and sugar in a bowl. Add the buttery spread and cut in with a pastry blender until combined (it will be lumpy with little balls of butter). Spread the crumb topping over the fruit.
Step 3
Bake at 375 degrees for about 30-35 minutes.
Step 4
Serve warm with dairy free ice cream or whipped coconut cream. Or enjoy this dessert plain - it's delicious even without any extra topping.
