Step 1

Pour at least 1 cup of water into the Instant Pot inner pot.

Step 2

Place the lid on, turn the valve to the sealing position, and set to manual pressure / high pressure for 5 minutes.

Step 3

When done, perform a quick release of the pressure and then use the boiled water as needed.

Step 4

Pour 1 to 2 cups of water into the Instant Pot inner pot (Note: you do not need the Instant Pot lid for this).

Step 5

Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode.

Step 6

The cooking time for the water to boil in the Instant pot without a lid is about 3 minutes.
