1)Grate the ginger and garlic

2)Rinse and thinly slice the cabbage

3)Thinly slice half of the onion

4)Cut the sliced pork belly into fourth

1)In a mixing bowl, add the pork belly, 1/2 tsp of grated ginger, 1/2 tsp of grated garlic, 1 and ½ tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tsp of sugar, 2 tsp of mirin, 2 tsp of sake. Mix everything together and let it sit for about 10 to 15 minutes

1)Add 1-1/2 tbsp of cooking to a pan. Saute yellow onion until it’s soft and fragrant.

Step 7

2)Next, add the marinated pork belly and cook until the pork is no longer pink. Turn off the heat when the pork is fully cooked.

Step 8

1)To serve, first, place cabbage on top of a bed of cooked rice. Next, fill the bowl with pork belly.

Step 9

2)You can also add finely chopped green onion and sprinkle some Japanese 7-flavor chilly powder to enhance the flavor of butadon.
