Step 1
In a large bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, chopped onions and all spices. Massage mixture into lamb cubes, cover bowl, and refrigerate at least for 1 hour.
Step 2
Remove lamb cubes from mixture and thread lamb, peppers and onion wedges onto skewers. (Metal skewers are preferred. If using wood skewers, soak 10 minutes prior to use).
Step 3
Preheat grill. Grill lamb skewers over med/high heat to desired temperature, about 10-15 minutes, turning once halfway. (Cook to 145 degrees for medium-rare, 160 for medium and 170 for well done).
Step 4
Serve over rice or couscous.
