Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.

Combine the French onion soup, beef stock, and rice in an ungreased 9×9 inch casserole dish.
Step 3
Cut the butter into approximately 12 pats and lay the butter pats on top of the rice mixture in the casserole dish.
Step 4
Cover the casserole dish with foil and bake at 425 degrees for 30 minutes.
Step 5
Very carefully remove the foil and continue baking for another 30 minutes (avoid the hot steam!).
Step 6
Cool slightly before serving. Makes 6 servings.
