Step 1
Spray the inside of the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
Step 2
Take out the giblets if there are any from the chicken and rinse it off. Pat dry with paper towels and then set into the slow cooker. I placed mine chicken breast side down for juicier white meat. However if you are more concerned about presentation place it breast side up.
Step 3
Mix the spices together in a small bowl to make the rub.
Step 4
Rub the spices all over the chicken while it's in the slow coker. Try to use all of it if you can.
Step 5
Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook for about 3-4 hours on high. The juices should be running clear and the internal temperature should be 165°F when using a meat thermometer. Mine took 3 hours.
Step 6
Let the chicken rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.
