Step 1
Preheat oven to 325° F. Season ribs with garlic powder, salt and pepper. Arrange ribs on shallow baking pan and cover tightly with aluminum foil. Cook ribs 2 hours or until tender.

While ribs are cooking, heat oil in medium saucepan over medium heat and cook onion 5 minutes or until tender. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes to blend flavors.
Step 3
Uncover ribs and cook an additional 30 minutes, brushing twice with barbecue sauce.
Step 4
Slice ribs and serve with additional barbecue sauce, if desired.
