Step 1

Chop a handful of marjoram. Slice the onion in thin rounds and gently sauté it with 1 Tbsp. oil and 2 Tbsp. butter. Add the marjoram and diced speck and sauté for until the speck is golden.

Step 2

Set the sauce aside and keep warm; in the same pan, sauté 6 Tbsp. bread crumbs in the remaining butter.

Step 3

In the meantime, bring water to a boil in a large pot and add salt. Cook the spaghetti until al dente. Strain and toss with the sauce, bread crumbs, and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
