Tater Tot Surprise

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.

Step 2

Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Step 3

Evenly add the tater tots into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

Step 4

Bake the tater tots, about 15 minutes.

Step 5

While the tater tots are cooking, in a medium bowl, add the cream cheese and the sour cream and stir to combine.

Step 6

Add the garlic salt, the pepper, 1/2 of the cheese, 1/2 of the green onions, the jalapeños, and 1/2 of the crumbled bacon to the cream cheese mixture and stir until it is well-combined.

Step 7

Transfer the baking dish to a wire rack and evenly sprinkle the tater tots with the chicken pieces.

Step 8

Evenly spread the cream cheese mixture over the chicken layer, then evenly sprinkle with the remaining bacon crumbles and the remaining shredded cheese.

Step 9

Transfer the baking dish to the oven and bake the chicken mixture until the cream cheese mixture is heated through and the cheese is melted, about 20 minutes.

Step 10

Transfer the baking dish to a wire rack and let it cool, about 5 minutes.

Step 11

Garnish with the remaining green onions and serve.
