Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Step 2
Place all cake ingredients in the mixing bowl and combine until smooth on setting 30 Sec./Speed If you find that the batter is too thick, add a little bit of milk. It should resemble almost very thick custard. Otherwise the apples will sink in.
Step 3
If you don't have a Thermomix, place all cake ingredients in a large mixing bowl and stir until l combined, suing an electric mixer.
Step 4
Pour the batter in a round cake tin lined with greaseproof paper.
Step 5
Peel the apples, quarter and remove pips. Slightly score each of them and place on the cake. Dust the cake with the sugar and bake in the oven for 40 minutes until golden brown. Use a wooden skewer to test whether it is done by poking the cake in the middle and if it comes out clean it is done.
Step 6
Leave to cool down and dust with icing sugar. Enjoy!
