10 minute dough

A quick and easy dough recipe that can be used to make many different recipe!  This will be a lifesaver and a hit with the entire family!

Ten Minute Dough

all-purpose flour

water

sugar

salt

yeast

olive oil

In a large bowl stir yeast, sugar, and 2 cups warm water at 95°F for best results.  Allow to activate for 10 minutes.  You will see foam form to the surface

Add in the flour and salt and mix using a wooden spoon.  Once combined, begin to knead the dough by hand for a few minutes or use a stand mixer to knead the dough. 

The dough will be sticky at this point.  

Slowly add in the oil as you knead until it is well combined and is not as sticky any more. You can use dough right away!   *You can let it rest if you choose for about 30 minutes or so.  If you do let it rest, cover the dough with plastic wrap.  Then cover bowl with a towel, set aside.

You immediately bake at 450F for 10-12 minutes based on the strength of your oven so keep checking.

OPEN FACE MEAT PIES

This Ten Minute Multi-Use Dough recipe is so easy and quick. With ingredients from your pantry, you can make the tastiest, most delightful pizza, cinnamon rolls, manakeesh, cheese or zaatar fatayer, buns for sliders, and much more!

Ten Minute Multi-Use Dough

vegetable oil (corn oil, canola oil, or olive oil)

active dry yeast

sugar (¼ cup for sweeter dough)

milk

warm water (or warm milk for softer dough)

baking powder

In a large bowl, start by mixing the following 2 cups of all-purpose flour, active dry yeast, sugar, baking powder, powdered milk, and salt. Then, add warm water. I recommend using warm milk for a softer dough.

Mix them all together until it&#39;s smooth using your hands or a stand mixer. It&#39;ll be liquidly, but that&#39;s fine. Cover it, and let it sit in a warm place for 10-15 minutes until it becomes bubbly. You can cover it with a blanket or two.

Once the 10 minutes are over, add 3 cups of all-purpose flour and the oil to the dough. Mix them well.

Knead it for about 5-10 minutes. It will come together really quickly.

Now, it&#39;s ready to use for anything your family asks for.

Check notes for which doughs I recommend an eggwash for.

The total amount of liquid used is 2 cups. It can be just water or a mixture of water and milk. If you're using milk, you can skip the powder.
