This strawberry basil gin cocktail is perfect for summer! Subtly sweet, a little tart, and truly refreshing!

Strawberry Basil Gin Cocktail

oz strawberries (sliced (about 5 strawberries))

sugar

oz lemon juice

basil leaves

oz gin

oz club soda (chilled)

(16 oz) strawberries (sliced)

club soda (chilled)

Slice strawberries and place in a small bowl with sugar. Let sit in the fridge for 10 minutes (this really gets the juices going).

Combine strawberry/sugar mixture with lemon juice and place in a blender. Blend until smooth.

Strain this mixture into a measuring cup.

In a short glass, gently muddle two basil leaves.

Fill with ice.

Pour in strawberry mixture and gin. Give it a good stir and top with club soda.

Garnish with more basil and sliced strawberries!

Make a classic boulevardier cocktail if you're a fan of negronis. It's similar, but made with bourbon instead of gin for a more harmonious blend

Pour the bourbon, vermouth and Campari into a mixing glass, jug or cocktail shaker. Add a large handful of ice, and stir until the outside of the glass feels very cold.

Strain the cocktail into an ice-filled tumbler, and garnish with a twist of orange peel.

condensed milk

vanilla extract

instant coffee

Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree on high speed for 30 seconds.

Transfer mixture to an airtight container or glass bottle with a tight-fitting lid and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 months. Shake well before using.

In a small pot over medium heat, combine the sugar and water. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar completely.

Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the cucumber. Let steep, covered, for at least 4 hours or up to overnight.

Strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth, pushing to extract as much syrup as possible. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the gin, watermelon juice, lime juice, and simple syrup. Shake vigorously for 20 seconds.

Strain into a glass filled with ice and top with club soda.

Pour the rum, coconut milk, coconut cream, condensed milk, evaporated milk and vanilla into a blender. Blitz to combine, then pour into a large jug and add the cinnamon stick. Chill for at least 4-5 hrs, or overnight. Will keep in the fridge for up to four days.

When you're ready to serve, stir the coquito, then pour small measures over ice, if using, and sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon.

To make the perfect classic negroni cocktail all you need is balance: use equal parts gin, vermouth and Campari, and choose the best products you have in reach

Pour the gin, vermouth and Campari into a mixing glass or jug with ice. Stir well until the outside of the glass feels cold.

Strain into a tumbler and add 1 large ice sphere or some fresh ice, and garnish with an orange slice, using a blood orange when in season.

Put a tumbler in the freezer. When it’s freezing cold, pour in the absinthe, swirl it so it thinly coats the inside of the glass, then tip it away. This is called rinsing.

Stir the remaining ingredients, except the lemon peel garnish, together in a mixing glass, then strain into the prepared tumbler.

Mango Mimosa

(750-ml) bottle Champagne (such as Mumm Napa Brut Prestige)

In a food processor or blender, purée diced mangoes. Using a fine-mesh sieve, strain purée, discarding any solids. (You should have approximately 1 1/2 cups.) In a large pitcher, mix together mango and Champagne.

Thread 3 to 4 mango cubes each onto 8 skewers. Pour mango mimosa into 8 glasses and serve each with a mango skewer.
