This delicious&nbsp;Ambrosia Salad is so easy to make and always a big hit with kids and adults alike! Made in just one bowl, this classic dessert salad is the perfection addition to your next gathering!

Ambrosia Salad

oz Cool Whip (, lite is fine)

sour cream (, light is fine)

11 oz mandarin oranges (drained)

oz pineapple (drained)

oz maraschino cherries (drained, halved, and patted dry)

coconut flakes

marshmallows

chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts, cashews optional)

Fold sour cream into Cool Whip in a large serving bowl.

Fold in remaining ingredients making sure the pineapple, oranges, and cherries have been properly drained.

Serve immediately or refrigerate until serving.

Add your chocolate into a heatproof bowl and melt over a double boiler. Once it is melted, leave too cool until it is at room temperature.

While the chocolate is cooling, blow up the water balloons to the size you want your bowls to be and tie them off.

Line a flat baking tray with baking paper.

Once your chocolate has reached room temperature, hold a balloon at the top and begin to dip the bottom in chocolate. Swirling it around so it has a good layer of chocolate and the chocolate comes a third to halfway up the balloon (depending on how big you blew them up).

Gently move the balloon to the lined baking paper, holding it there until the chocolate slightly drips to create a base for the bowl.

Repeat until you have used all of your balloons.

You should have a little leftover chocolate and scattered space on your baking tray. With this, make little bunny faces and ears placing puffed quinoa as the eyes of the face.

Place the baking tray into the freezer for 20-30mins.

Once set, remove balloons from freezer. Press around the sides gently, breaking the seal between the balloon and the chocolate. Then lightly pierce the balloon with a knife and slowly release the air from the balloon, removing any excess balloon.

Fill balloons with ice cream and top with the little bunny faces. Serve immediately. (Leftover bowls will store in your freezer in an airtight container for up to 5 months.)

Drain the pineapple and the orange segments very well.  Set aside.

Drain the cherries and slice each one in half.  Rinse the cherries well and allow to drain.  Set aside.

In a large bowl, mix together the whipped topping and the sour cream.  Add in the coconut and mini marshmallows.  Fold in the drained pineapple, oranges, and cherries.  Add the pecans and gently stir to combine.  Cover and chill in the refrigerator for about an hour before serving.

This lighter Ambrosia Salad, full of fresh fruit, whipped cream, walnuts, and marshmallows, is the perfect Spring or Summer dessert.

oz Tru Whip Skinny (or Coco Whip Light)

Combine fruit with cream, coconut, and marshmallows.

Chill for 2 hours and serve.

Top with nuts.

Ambrosia Fruit Salad

This Southern Ambrosia recipe includes various fruit coated in a sweet yet tangy cream sauce with pops of texture from coconut, pecans, and mini marshmallows.

Place the pineapple juice in a small bowl and add in the chopped apple. Stir to coat and set aside.

Place the sugar and sour cream together in a large bowl and stir until well combined.

Drain the apples (discard juice) and add them and all other ingredients to the sour cream mixture.

Stir well to combine. Cover and refrigerate for several hours before serving.

Plump blackberries, sweet pineapple and bright lime bring this Ambrosia style salad a bit of summer fun.

Blackberry Margarita Ambrosia

C Blackberries

C Pineapple tidbits

C Mini marshmallows

C Shredded coconut (sweetened)

C Walnuts (chopped)

Lime (zested)

C Cool Whip

C Lime yogurt

Add blackberries, pineapple, marshmallows, coconut, walnuts, and lime zest to a large mixing bowl and stir gently to avoid bursting the berries.

In a small bowl, mix together the Cool Whip and yogurt.&nbsp; Add to your salad.&nbsp; Again, tossing gently.

Top with extra Cool Whip and lime zest to garnish.

When I think of ambrosia, I always think of my paternal grandmother. She hosted elaborate holiday meals, but something she had made ahead of time ALWAYS got left in “the icebox.” I remember the last meal we had together was particularly delicious; everyone was stuffed. We had begun to clear the table, return bowls and platters to the kitchen. She hollers, “Everybody come back to the table! I forgot to serve the ambrosia.” There it sat, colorful, covered in coconut. I honestly could not have eaten a solitary bite. But I still remember how cool and refreshing it looked.
