Cinnamon Cream Cheese Cookies are an easy, tender cookie bursting with cinnamon sugar. These cookies make for the perfect Christmas (or anytime!) treat!

Cinnamon Cream Cheese Cookies

unsalted butter (1 stick) (softened)

cream cheese (softened)

sugar

baking powder

vanilla bean paste (or extract)

kosher salt

all-purpose flour

cinnamon

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and cream cheese with a hand mixer until smooth. Slowly add the powdered sugar until combined. Add egg, baking powder, vanilla, and salt. Mix to combine. Add flour in slowly until fully incorporated, scraping the sides as needed. Place in fridge for one hour to rest.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and sugar. Set aside.

Roll dough into 1 inch sized balls, about 2 teaspoons worth of dough. Roll until coated in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Place on a parchment lined cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.&nbsp;

Bake for 8-9 minutes, until just set. Do not overbake, it is hard to tell when these cookies are ready, they will puff up but won't get golden brown. Let cool on baking sheet for 10 minutes. Transfer cookies to a wire rack and let cool completely.

Cinnamon Cream Cheese Cookies Recipe | This Silly Girl's Kitchen Ep.1

Apple cider waffles made with sourdough discard are an easy, quick recipe that is sure to please your whole family!  Anything apple cider spice really speaks to me about fall and comfort as the taste fills my mouth with joy and the smell fills the house with warmth.  Try these yummy treats.

Apple Cider Waffles with Sourdough Discard

Apple Sauce ((4 oz) home made

Apple Cider ((1 ¾ cups) 100% apple juice can be substituted)

Apple Reduction

Melted Butter

ea Egg (large)

T Maple Syrup

Milk

1½ tsp Vanilla Extract

Sourdough Discard

Whole Wheat Pastry Flour

¾ tsp Baking Soda

Sea Salt

Cinnamon

Nutmeg

Cardamom

Cinnamon Sugar

Butter

Maple Syrup

Pour Apple Cider and applesauce into a pan.  Heat on medium heat.  Simmer until reduced by two thirds (will become thicker).

Apple Cider Reduction

Preheat your waffle maker.  (For mine, I just plug it in and leave the lid closed to preheat.)

Measure all ingredients.

In a bowl, mix all wet ingredients with a hand whisk.

Add sourdough starter and mix thoroughly with a hand whisk.

Measure and stir all dry ingredients together in a separate bowl.

Add dry ingredients and mix thoroughly.

Cook according to your waffle maker&#039;s instructions.

I put the batter into a preheated waffle maker, add 1/3 cup of batter to each waffle form, close the top, and wait for about 5 minutes until the orange light turns off.

Remove waffles and serve with butter, maple syrup and cinnamon sugar.  Enjoy!

Apple Cinnamon Bread Pudding (also known as French Toast Casserole) is a rich and sweet breakfast treat or after-dinner dessert! 

Apple Cinnamon Bread Pudding

bread pieces (1.98)

milk (0.80)

eggs (0.84)

applesauce, divided (0.89)

tsp vanilla extract (0.28)

sugar (0.11)

cinnamon (0.10)

butter

raisins (optional) (0.36)

Preheat the oven to 325ºF. If your bread is not already in pieces, tear or cut the bread into one-inch pieces.

Spread the bread pieces out on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes to slightly dry the bread. After baking, let the bread cool for a few minutes to allow the remaining steam to evaporate.

While the bread is drying in the oven, prepare the apple cinnamon custard. In a medium bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, 1 cup of applesauce, vanilla extract, sugar, and cinnamon.

Transfer the par-baked bread to a large bowl, add the raisins, then pour the apple cinnamon custard over top. Stir to combine and allow the bread to soak for at least 15 minutes to absorb all of the custard.

Meanwhile, use 1 teaspoon of the butter to grease the inside of a two-quart casserole dish. Transfer the soaked bread to the casserole dish and spread it out evenly. Cut the remaining butter into chunks and sprinkle it over the bread pudding.

Bake the bread pudding for 45 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160ºF.

After removing the bread pudding from the oven, add the remaining ½ cup applesauce in dollops on top of the bread pudding. Serve warm.

This crisp, herbal cocktail is perfect for autumn with white rum, green Chartreuse, and a homemade apple cinnamon syrup.

First Frost (Rum and Green Chartreuse Cocktail)

1½ oz white rum ((I used Cruzan Aged White Rum))

oz lime juice

½ oz Green Chartreuse

dry vermouth

½ oz apple cinnamon syrup* ((syrup recipe below))

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and fill it 3/4 with ice.

Shake until chilled, then strain the liquid into a coupe glass.

Garnish with an apple rose or apple fan.

This meal prep friendly version of a classic oatmeal flavor pairing needs to be on next week’s menu plan: Baked Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Cups. They are slightly sweet, filling, and with a smear of nut butter, the perfect no-cook breakfast. 

Meal Prep Friendly Baked Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal Cups

In a large mixing bowl, add the oats, ground flaxseed, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt. Stir to combine. Add the almond milk, applesauce, maple syrup and vanilla extract. Mix well. Fold in the diced apple. 

Evenly divide the oatmeal mixture among 12 muffin cups that have been lightly greased with cooking spray. Top with extra apple pieces and a sprinkle of cinnamon if you like. Bake for 25 minutes, until golden brown and the oatmeal cups spring back when touched. 

Allow the oatmeal cups to cool completely before transferring to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days, or in the freezer for up to a few months. 

This recipe is so delicious!! It makes me feel like it's fall even though it's 90 degrees... so so good!

Preheat your air fryer to 350°F. Add room temperature butter, vanilla, sugar, and cinnamon to a small bowl.

Mix until incorporated.

Spread half of the butter on one side of your slice of bread. Make sure to cover the slice from corner to corner.

Air fry for five minutes.

Take the toast out and spread the remaining butter on the other side, again corner to corner.

Pour the applesauce into the baking dish (or mash a small banana in the pan).

Just removed this from the oven and it smells so good.  I love finding recipes that I can use up ingredients that are close to over-ripened.  I had an apple and a banana (no applesauce) so  this worked out perfectly.

One Pan Apple Cinnamon Baked Oatmeal

Caramel apple dessert cups are an easy, delicious, and portable no bake dessert. Vanilla wafer crust, salted caramel mousse, cinnamon apples and a drizzle of salted caramel sauce make these cups irresistible and perfect for apple season!

Caramel Apple Dessert Cups

apples (peeled and chopped)

brown sugar

vanilla wafer crumbs

vanilla pudding mix (3.4 ounces)

milk

salted caramel sauce

heavy cream

caramel sauce

In a medium saucepan, combine peeled and chopped apples, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Stir and cook over medium heat until the apples are soft and the liquid thickens. Set aside to cool.

In a mixing bowl, combine vanilla wafer crumbs and melted butter. Stir until fully incorporated.

Portion vanilla wafer crumbs into 28 - 2 ounce plastic cups. I recommend using a small cookie scoop. Use the back of one of the plastic cups to press the crumbs down to create the crust.

In a large mixing bowl, combine instant vanilla pudding mix and milk. Whisk to combine. Chill for 5 minutes.

Add salted caramel sauce to the vanilla pudding mixture. Use an electric hand mixer on medium speed to mix the caramel into the pudding until smooth.

Pour in the heavy cream to the pudding mixture and whip then whip with an electric hand mixer for 3-5 minutes until it becomes thick and creamy.

Transfer the caramel mousse mixture to a large piping bag. Pipe the mousse into the plastic cups on top of the vanilla wafer crust.

Using a spoon, portion the cinnamon apples over the caramel mousse. Drizzle with additional caramel sauce if desired.

Seal the cups with a lid and chill. The cups can be served immediately or stored in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days.

Should you be mixing the whipping cream then fold the pudding misture with it?

Thank you for this recipe!!  I made these for my coworkers and they were a HUGE hit. I am curious about how you think caramelized bananas in place of the apples would work.

My Apple/brown sugar/cinnamon mixture isn’t thickening. Is this going to make a difference? Everything else seems/smells perfect and I’m just waiting for that to finish cooling to add to the top.

Paleo Apple Cinnamon Muffins (Gluten Free, Refined Sugar Free)

sized apples ((about 2 cups diced))

almond flour

eggs

coconut sugar

tbsp coconut oil ((melted + cooled))

tsp vanilla extract

tsp baking soda

tsp apple cider vinegar ((or lemon juice))

sea salt

gluten free flour

tbsp coconut oil ((cooled))

splash milk of choice

Preheat oven to 350F and line 12 muffins tins.

Dice one apple at a time into small chunks. Once you dice the first apple, set it aside. Each apple is used for different steps!

Add all ingredients, including one diced apple, to a high speed blender or food processor. Blend until fully combined (you may have to scrape the sides a couple of times).

Stir in the diced chunks of the second apple.

Spoon batter into each lined muffin tin. Smooth out the top of each muffin with a spoon or small spatula.

If you&#39;re making the crumble topping - add ingredients in a small bowl and mix with hands until you reach a sand-like consistency. Place on top of each muffin.

If you&#39;re not making the crumble topping - sprinkle extra cinnamon and sugar on top of each muffin.

Bake 28-35 minutes, checking for doneness at 30 minutes.

Once out of the oven, immediately take out of the pan and place on a cooling rack.

Once cooled, if you&#39;re making the icing - mix powdered sugar and milk until you reach desired consistency. Top each muffin.

Serve with dairy free ice cream and enjoy!
