You can easily transform ordinary pancake mix into Apple Pie Pancakes, with only a couple added ingredients! You'll love this special breakfast treat!

Apple Pie Pancakes

pancake mix (I used Krusteaz)

water

cinnamon

apple pie filling (home canned

non-stick baking spray

Measure out pancake mix and water that the mix you are using calls for, into a medium sized mixing bowl.&nbsp; Whatever brand of pancake mix you use, use their ingredient list, and remember to make enough for 12 (4") pancakes!&nbsp;Add 1/2 cup of the apple pie filling to the mix (reserving the rest for later).&nbsp;Add the ground cinnamon to the batter, and stir just until the batter is fully mixed.

Spray a griddle or large skillet with non-stick baking spray. Heat on medium heat until hot. Pour batter onto griddle, forming 4" wide pancakes, leaving a bit of space between each one. Cook until bubbles form on the top of the pancakes and the bottom edges are golden brown, then carefully flip to the other side.&nbsp;Continue cooking until done in the center, then remove to serving plate, and keep warm. Repeat process until all batter has been used.

To serve, transfer pancakes to individual plates. Place 2 pancakes on each plate, and top each serving with a pad of butter (if desired), and about 4 Tablespoons of the reserved apple pie filling. Serve, and enjoy!

You have to make these Apple Pie Pancakes during apple picking season! Not only are they easy to make, but they always turn out super fluffy, are freezer-friendly, and taste just like apple pie.

Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in a bowl in a large bowl.&nbsp;

In another bowl mix together milk, egg, oil and vanilla until combined.

Pour wet mixture into dry mixture bowl.&nbsp; Mix until completely combined. Add in chopped apples and stir with spoon.

Pour 1/3 cup of batter for each pancake on pan, over medium high heat. Cook pancakes until golden brown and then flip to the other side, about 2 minutes on each side.

Serve hot with maple syrup or butter on top.

These Apple Pie Pancakes are the perfect Fall breakfast meal. They are full of apples and fall spices that make for a great breakfast!

all-purpose flour

Add all your dry ingredients to a mixing bowl and whisk together (all-purpose flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt)

In a separate mixing bowl whisk together your wet ingredients (milk, eggs, and vanilla extract).

Combine your wet and dry ingredients and mix until combined but be careful not to over mix.

Peel and grate your apples then add the grated apples to your batter and gently fold in.

Heat your skillet and add in oil, butter, or nonstick spray. Spoon in about 1/4 cup of batter into the warmed skillet and until bubbles form then flip.

Cook for about 1 minute until pancakes are golden brown on both sides. Continue cooking until all batter has been cooked and made into pancakes.

Optional: Warm apple pie filling to top your pancakes with. Top with syrup, apple pie filling, and whipped cream.

Other optional mix-ins: these pancakes

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all dry ingredients.

Make a well in the center and stir in the apple, milk, egg, melted butter and vanilla; mix until just combined. Do NOT overmix. Some small lumps are fine. Let batter rest for 5 to 10 minutes.

Heat lightly greased or buttered skillet or griddle over medium to medium-high heat. Portion out 1/4 cup scoops of batter per pancake onto skillet or griddle, cooking in batches as needed. You may need to gently spread the batter out some.

When bubbles begin to form on the surface and the edges of the pancakes look set (2 to 3 minutes), flip and cook the other side until cooked through, 2 to 3 minutes.

Serve warm with maple syrup and butter and/or other favorite toppings.

This is my go-to pancake recipe, I love it so much! I don't modify a thing. I serve it with homemade whipped cream and sauteed apples with butter and cinnamon.. perfection.

I made these for my daycare kids and they were a hit. Even my 10 month old loved them and the left overs made a great little snack later in the day
