A simple and appetizing meal for when you don't have time to spare, this quick skillet dinner features top sirloin flavored with garlic, soy sauce, bell peppers and cherry tomatoes.

Asian Pepper Steak

Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour

vegetable oil

bell peppers, seeded, sliced

onion, sliced

garlic,

brown sugar

soy sauce

sesame oil

cherry tomatoes, halved

rice

green onion, thinly sliced

Slice beef into thin 2-inch-long strips; place in medium bowl. Add flour, salt and pepper; toss until beef is coated with flour.

Heat wok or 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 tablespoon of the vegetable oil. Add beef; cook and stir 3 to 4 minutes or until browned. Remove beef from wok. Add remaining tablespoon vegetable oil, the bell peppers and onion; cook and stir 2 to 3 minutes or until vegetables begin to sweat.

Return beef to wok; add garlic. Cook 2 to 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

In small bowl, stir together brown sugar, soy sauce and sesame oil until brown sugar is dissolved.

Add sauce and cherry tomatoes to beef and vegetables; stir. Cook 2 to 3 minutes or until sauce is thickened, beef is cooked to desired doneness, and vegetables are tender.

Divide rice and pepper steak among 4 bowls. Top with green onion.

lbs Ribeye steak ((2-inch long thin slices))

red bell pepper

green bell pepper

onion

vegetable oil ((divided

garlic ((minced))

tsp black pepper

ginger

beef broth

tbsp rice vinegar

tsp sesame oil

cornstarch

In a large skillet heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the steak to the pan and cook for 5-6 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from skillet and place on a plate.

Add 1 tbsp vegetable to skillet. Add the peppers and onions and cook for 3-4 minutes or until tender.

Add cooked steak back into the skillet.

Meanwhile add garlic, black pepper, ginger, brown sugar, soy sauce, beef broth, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and corn starch to a medium bowl. Stir until well combined and add to the skillet.

Bring to a simmer and cook for 4-5 minutes until the sauce begins to thicken.

Serve hot over rice and garnish with sesame seeds. Enjoy!
