My favorite meatballs! Asian Pork Meatballs in a Ginger Honey Glaze. I have them every New Years Eve or Day. AND they just so happen to be gluten-free.

Asian Pork Meatballs

For The Meatballs

pork

TBS minced sweet or red onion

garlic (minced)

tsp minced ginger

TBS sesame oil

salt & pepper

Ginger Garlic Sauce

tsp minced garlic

TBS minced ginger

TBS rice wine vinegar

TBS honey

Chili

cornstarch

Cilantro

For Meatballs:

Combine all ingredients together and form balls. They will be wet. It's fine, just get them to hold together. Place on a baking sheet until ready to cook.

When ready to cook, preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Use a small amount of olive or grapeseed oil (2-3 TBS or so) to fry the meatballs until nicely browned. Place on a baking sheet and bake another 10 minutes until cooked through.

For Spicy Ginger-Honey Sauce

In a frying pan with sides, combine sesame oil, garlic and ginger and saute for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add in vinegar, honey and chili with garlic sauce and bring to a boil. Add in cornstarch and whisk until combined and thickened. Taste &amp; adjust. Place meatballs in your pan, coat with sauce, garnish with cilantro leaves (if you like)and serve.

Ginger Scallion Pork Meatball with Potsticker Dipping Sauce

chili garlic sauce ((you could also use Sriracha))

sesame seeds (optional)

panko crumbs

garlic (finely minced)

scallions (7-8 medium size scallions)

cilantro ((can use basil

brown sugar (packed)

½ -1 teaspoon chili garlic sauce

salt

ramen noodles (lo mein noodles

peanuts

mint (basil and/or cilantro, optional)

marinated cucumbers and red onion (see Notes below)

Preheat the oven to 375˚F. Line a sheet pan with foil (for easy cleanup.) Spray the foil generously with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.

For the prep:

Combine all sauce ingredients in a small bowl or jar with a tight-fitting lid. Stir or shake until well combined. Set aside.

For the Potsticker Sauce:

In a medium-large bowl, combine all of the meatball ingredients. Using your hands or a rubber spatula, mix until everything is combined but don’t over mix. Using a retractable scooper or a large spoon, portion the mixture into 2-tablespoon scoops (around 1½ ounces or 40g). Give each portion a little squeeze then, with slightly wet hands, roll each one into a ball and arrange on the sheet pan spaced 1½-2 inches apart.

Drizzle a little olive oil over each meatball then bake for 20-22 minutes or until light golden brown, brushing each meatball with some of the potsticker sauce after 10 minutes of baking.

For the meatballs:

Serve with noodles or rice. Garnish with fresh herbs and chopped peanuts, if desired.

For serving:

Weeknight dinner doesn&#039;t get much easier than this! These Korean pork meatballs are simple to throw together and are so delicious!

Korean Meatballs

lb Ground pork

Egg (beaten)

Panko

Bulgogi sauce (see below)

Soy sauce

Brown sugar

Garlic (crushed)

Fresh ginger (grated)

1½ Tablespoons Sesame oil

Apple juice (or pear juice)

Green onions (finely chopped)

In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, egg, and panko, and mix them together for 30-40 seconds. Don&#39;t over-mix!

Cover the bowl in plastic wrap, then let it rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

Set the oven to preheat to 425°F. Remove the meat mixture from the fridge, and roll the meat into 1&quot; balls, setting each one on a foil lined baking sheet.

Bake for 20 minutes, until the interior temperate reaches 165°F minimum.

Remove the meatballs and set aside. In a separate bowl, combine all bulgogi ingredients in a bowl and whisk well.

Toss the meatballs in the bulgogi sauce, then serve over rice and enjoy!
