Asian Salad Recipe

carrots, grated

red pepper, finely diced

celery stalks, finely diced

red onion, finely diced

cilantro

sesame seeds

sesame oil

lemon juice

honey (omit

Combine all the dressing ingredients in a small bowl and whisk together. Set aside.

Toss all the remaining ingredients together in a medium-sized bowl. Pour over the dressing and toss to coat.

Just saw this recipe today, I have had Asian inspired recipes in  the past but they were made with noodles. I was going to the green grocer today and picked up a few of the ingredients that I was missing. All I can say is this is delicious :-) easy :-)

Grilled Asian Pork Tenderloin Salad

lettuce greens

green onions, sliced thinly

edamame

c. fresh cilantro leaves

kosher salt and black pepper,

c. honey

T. rice vinegar

orange

T. orange juice

T. extra-virgin olive oil

soy sauce

Dijon mustard

T. ginger

1.5 lbs. pork tenderloin,

honey

orange juice

T. sesame oil

garlic cloves,

T. mustard

tsp. black pepper

If you need a show-stopper to bring to the next potluck, this ramen noodle Asian salad is the dish to choose. It's refreshing, colorful, and loaded with texture.

Ramen Noodle Asian Salad

raw sunflower seeds

almonds

(16-ounce) package coleslaw mix

green onions, chopped

olive oil

apple cider vinegar

sugar

black pepper

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Place broken ramen noodles, sunflower seeds, and almonds onto a baking sheet

Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until fragrant and toasted. Set aside to cool.

In a large bowl, toss together coleslaw mix and green onions. Add cooled noodle mixture on top.

Prepare the dressing: whisk together olive oil, ramen seasoning packets, apple cider vinegar, sugar, and black pepper until smooth.

Pour dressing over the salad and toss to coat. Serve and enjoy!

A banana blossom salad made with red cabbage, white onions and red bell peppers, topped with minced mint, Vietnamese coriander, roasted peanuts and the same generous pour of fish sauce dressing.

Banana Blossom Salad Recipe (Goi Bap Chuoi)

banana blossom (slice thinly)

lime/lemon

third of small white onion (slice thinly)

purple cabbage (slice thinly)

red bell pepper (slice thinly)

Vietnamese coriander leaves

mint

shrimp pork shoulder)

peanuts

lemon (juiced)

fish sauce

Coconut Soda

garlic (slice thinly)

Thai chili (optional)

Prepare the Banana Blossom

Add the sliced banana blossom to a large tub of cold water. Add salt and juice of lemon/lime. Soak for about 10 minutes. The salt draws out excess water and the lemon prevents it from browning. Scoop the long strands of banana blossoms at the top of the water and discard everything else. Toss the banana blossom dry in a colander.

Soften the Onions

Add the sliced onions to a bowl of cold water. The cold water will lessen the pungent smell of onions. Remove the onions after 5 minutes and toss dry in a colander.

Combine Vegetables and Protein

Toss all the vegetables (banana blossoms, white onion, purple cabbage, red bell pepper, coriander, and mint) and proteins together. Set aside.

Make the Dressing

Add all the dressing ingredients together in a small bowl and whisk together.

Assemble the Salad

When ready to serve, add the dressing to the salad and give a quick toss. Top with roasted peanuts. Serve immediately.
