These jalapeño poppers are halved peppers stuffed with cream cheese and cheddar, wrapped in bacon, and baked in the oven until crisp and charred — each bite is an explosion of flavor and contrasting textures. Easier and lower carb than the traditional method of breading and frying, this 5-ingredient recipe is a tasty appetizer for keto diets.

Jalapeño Poppers

jalapeño peppers ((Note 1))

cheddar cheese ((Note 2))

garlic powder

Prepare Jalapeños (Note 3): Slice each pepper lengthwise in half. Use spoon to scrape out and discard seeds and membranes from each pepper.

Make Cheesy Filling: Microwave cream cheese in heatproof mixing bowl until very soft to touch and easily stirred, 15 to 30 seconds. Stir in cheddar cheese and garlic powder until well-mixed.

Stuff Jalapeños (Note 4): Stuff each pepper half with cheesy filling, then wrap halved bacon slice around each. Secure with toothpick, as needed. Place stuffed and wrapped pepper halves in single layer on baking tray, optionally lined with foil for easier cleanup.

Bake &amp; Serve: Bake at 400 F until cheese is starting to brown on top, 20 to 25 minutes. Optionally, broil for a few minutes to crisp up bacon. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Serve (Notes 5-6).

These crowd-pleasing deviled eggs have a creamy filling with just a hint of mustard and curry. Homemade bacon bits on top provide the perfect crispy crunch!

Best Deviled Eggs with Bacon

Crumble 2 of the bacon slices finely. Break the remaining 2 bacon slices in 8 larger pieces each, for a total of 16 garnish pieces. Reserve.

Cut a 1/4-inch thick slice from the end of each hard-cooked egg and reserve the pieces.

Cut each egg in half crosswise. If any of the egg halves have holes, place an egg end piece inside to fill the hole.

Gently scoop out yolks and place in a bowl.

Mash yolks with a fork, then stir in mayonnaise, mustard, and curry powder until well blended. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Spoon or pipe about 1 tablespoon yolk mixture into the hollow of each egg-white half.

Garnish each egg with one larger bacon piece. Sprinkle the tops with the crumbled bacon and serve immediately.

To make ahead, cover and chill up to 8 hours. Garnish with crumbled bacon just before serving. Makes 16 eggs.

Thick sliced bacon is basted with a brown sugar and maple syrup glaze and baked until candied and glossy, and freshly ground black pepper adds spicy flavor.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and line a baking sheet with foil topped with a sheet of parchment paper.

To make the maple and brown sugar glaze, combine the maple syrup and brown sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves and mixture just starts to bubble. Remove from heat and reserve.

Arrange the bacon strips on the prepared baking sheet, overlapping slightly if needed.

Bake until the bacon slices start to brown, about 15 minutes. Blot the excess grease with paper towels.

Brush generously with the glaze and sprinkle generously with the black pepper. Continue baking for 5 minutes.

Turn the bacon strips, blot extra grease, and brush generously with the glaze. Sprinkle all over with freshly ground black pepper.

Continue baking until bacon strips are crispy and browned, about 10 more minutes. Your exact cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of your bacon. Watch carefully towards the end of cooking time so bacon doesn't overcook.

Remove from the oven and cool. Blot any excess grease. Arrange on a platter and serve. Makes 12 pieces.

This easy BLT Crostini Appetizers recipe features crunchy crostini toasts, savory bacon, crispy lettuce, juicy tomato and creamy mayonnaise. With all the flavors of a BLT sandwich, they&#039;re the perfect snack for parties, holidays and game day.

BLT Crostini Appetizers

French baguette bread ((or 2 smaller baguettes))

Romaine lettuce

cherry tomatoes

Preheat the oven to the Broil or Toast setting.

Cut the baguettes in 1/2 inch slices on the diagonal.

Arrange the slices on a baking sheet and brush with melted butter.

Broil just until the edges are lightly browned. Watch carefully so the little toasts don’t burn. (In my oven this took a little less than 3 minutes.)

Turn the toasts over, brush with the remaining butter, and broil until lightly browned. Remove from the oven and cool to room temperature.

Make the Crostini:

Spread each of the little toasts with mayonnaise.

Sprinkle each toast with some of the chopped lettuce.

Top each toast with pieces of broken bacon.

Top each toast with two cherry tomato halves.

Arrange on a platter, serve and enjoy! Makes 24 pieces.

These mini BLT sliders have all the vibrant flavors of your favorite bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich on a toothpick. They&#039;re easy to make and good to eat!

Mini BLT Sliders

tube crescent dough sheet* (8 ounces)

salted butter

sesame seeds

basil leaves (finely chopped)

tomatoes (each cut in 12 bite-sized pieces)

lettuce leaves (torn to make 36 total bite-sized pieces)

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line a baking sheet with foil topped with a sheet of parchment paper.

Cut each strip of the bacon in 6 squares, for a total of 36 squares. Arrange on the prepared baking sheet and bake until bacon is browned and crispy, about 20 minutes. Drain on paper towels.

Discard the foil and parchment paper from the baking sheet. Line with a fresh sheet of parchment paper. Increase the oven temperature to 375 degrees F.

Roll out or pat the crescent dough on a lightly floured work surface in a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

Using a round cutter, cut 72 small circles of the dough. Transfer to the baking sheet.

Brush with the melted butter and sprinkle with the sesame seeds. Bake until crisp and golden brown, about 10-11 minutes. Cool on a wire rack to room temperature.

While the buns are baking, make the basil mayo. Whisk the basil into the mayonnaise in a small dish. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Spread the mayonnaise on the flat toasted side of 36 of the buns; these will be the tops.

To assemble the appetizers, thread one bun toasted size up, one tomato, one lettuce piece, and one bacon piece. Press the top buns on the skewer, mayonnaise side down, and gently press the layers together. Arrange on a platter, serve and enjoy!

Just test ran these before I make a big batch for a potluck tomorrow. I was too lazy to make the buns so I used a shot glass on sourdough toast instead. I also ended up adding a bit of balsamic vinegar to the basil mayo which gave it a little extra punch and evened out the flavors a bit. Great idea and adorable presentation! I’ll have to try making the buns another time for sure!

Such a perfect appetizer for a party! We are going to make these for the Super Bowl! Yum!

I have made this recipe twice, both times disappointing.  The ingredient for the buns needs tweaking!  DO NOT flour the board....the first time I made these and floured the board they came out of the oven the size of a nickel.
Also, I did not get more than 28 buns from the first sheet.  I tried again, got more but they shrink during baking.  Okay the second time I got the crescent roll dough instead of the sheet, did NOT flour the board and they baked up nicely.....both cans.    It took 4 - four - cans of crescent roll dough to make this recipe  What a waste of good bacon.

OMG!!!!! Hopefully we can get together for Christmas this year. One year we all brought appetizers. No big meal. Just snacking and visiting. Great time and these recipes will be great. Thank you.
