Bulgogi – Korean Beef BBQ (불고기) is probably one of the best known Korean Beef BBQ dish and this authentic marinade recipe has been used in my family for over 25 years.

Bulgogi - Authentic Korean Beef BBQ Recipe

lb Thinly sliced sirloin ((top sirloin

soy sauce

Tbsp light brown sugar ([white sugar ok])

Tbsp honey ([ 2 t sugar

Tbsp rice cooking wine

Tbsp sesame oil

Tbsp minced garlic

tsp black pepper

sesame seeds

Tbsp chopped green onion

Tbsp pear, puree ([

Make sauce by mixing all of the marinade ingredients together except for any optional vegetables such as onions or mushrooms.

Mix in the bulgogi beef into the sauce prepared above – in a bowl big enough to hold the beef. Make sure the sauce is well mixed with the beef. You will need to use your hands here and just massage everything together.

&nbsp;Heat up your favorite frying pan on high heat and just pan fry/stir fry the meat until it’s slightly brown on both sides.&nbsp;

The Best Tri Tip Marinade

avocado oil

liquid aminos (or low-sodium soy sauce*)

rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar

Tbsp maple syrup

garlic

tsp worcestershire sauce (optional)

oregano

Tbsp dijon mustard

Tbsp sriracha (optional)

Add all of the ingredients for the trip tip marinade to a small blender or food processor. I use my Magic Bullet and a NutriBullet works great as well.

Blend the marinade ingredients until they are completely combined and a thick creamy marinade results.

Transfer the tri tip and the marinade to a large zip lock bag or an airtight container. Seal bag (or container) and move the contents around until the meat is covered with marinade. Marinate tri tip for at least 15 minutes, ideally several hours and up to 24 hours.

Prepare your tri tip using your preferred cooking method (grilling, roasting, smoking, etc.) I have included three different directions for preparing tri tip in the post above so that you can choose your favorite cooking method.

Remove the kabobs from the grill when the internal temperature is at least 125 degrees Fahrenheit. Tent with aluminum foil and allow them to rest for 5 minutes. This will allow the juices within the beef to re-distribute, limiting the amount of myoglobin that seeps out when you cut into the beef.

In a large bowl or direction in a zip bag, combine the marinade ingredients.

Place the cubed beef pieces in a zip bag with the marinade for 15 to 45 minutes, or up to overnight. You can also use a marinating tray to marinate the skewers already assembled.

Tip: while the beef marinades, this is a great time to soak your skewers.

Thread the cubes of meat onto the skewers, alternating with vegetables if using.

This skirt steak marinade is sure to infuse maximum flavor and give you the juiciest steak ever. Throw it on the grill or cook it stovetop, oven or even smoker.

Skirt Steak Marinade

Whisk together the soy sauce, oil, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, honey, salt, pepper and garlic in a bowl.

Pour over skirt steak in a shallow dish or a large plastic bag.

Seal and refrigerate for 3-4 hours.

Remove steak from marinade, discarding any leftover liquid. Cook your desired way and let rest for 3-5 minutes before slicing against the grain.
