Beef Noodle Casserole

egg noodles (uncooked)

olive oil

lbs beef

onion (finely chopped)

garlic

salt and pepper

tomato sauce

can diced tomatoes (drained, I prefer to use the small diced (petite cut) variety)

Italian seasoning

cheddar cheese

parsley

cooking spray

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil; add the egg noodles and cook according to package directions. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

While the noodles are cooking, heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium high heat.

Add the ground beef to the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes, breaking up the meat with a spatula.

Add the onion and garlic to the pan and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until onion has softened and beef is cooked through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Add the tomato sauce, tomatoes and Italian seasoning to the beef and stir to combine.

Drain the noodles and add to the pan with the beef; toss to combine.

Pour the beef and noodle mixture into a 9"x13" baking pan that's been coated in cooking spray. Top with cheddar cheese.

Bake for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.

Preheat your oven to 375F and move the rack to the top third of the oven.

Cook the noodles for a minute or two less than the package directions indicate, then drain them and transfer them to a 9x13 casserole dish.

Meanwhile, add the olive oil, onion, and ground beef to a skillet. Cook over medium-high heat, breaking the meat up as you go along, until it&#39;s cooked through (about 8-10 minutes).

Stir in the garlic and crushed red pepper flakes and cook for 30 seconds.

If there&#39;s a lot of excess fat in the skillet, spoon most of it out, then add in the marinara sauce and let it warm through.

Pour the beef mixture into the casserole dish and add half the cheese and toss together (I also like to add some salt &amp; pepper at this point), then smooth it out in an even layer.

Top the casserole with the remaining cheese and bake, uncovered, for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and it&#39;s nice and hot. Optional: broil for a few minutes (watch it carefully) to brown the cheese.

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking dish; set aside.

Cook noodles in a large pot of well-salted boiling water according to package directions for 1 minute less than al dente. Drain well.

Meanwhile, heat a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Brown beef, bell pepper, and onion in the skillet; drain excess grease. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Add tomatoes (with juice), crushing the tomatoes slightly with a wooden spoon. Stir in the condensed soup, brown sugar, chili powder, dry mustard, and garlic powder.

Add the cooked noodles to the ground beef mixture; toss to combine.

Transfer to the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake, uncovered, for 20 minutes. Add the fried onions on top; return the dish to the oven for about 5-10 more minutes, until the filling is hot and bubbly and the onions are lightly browned on top.

taco seasoning (1 oz package)

salt

water

tomatoes (15 oz can, undrained)

Rotel (10 oz can, undrained)

tomato sauce (8 oz can)

Colby Jack cheddar cheese

Preheat the oven to 350℉. Spray a 9x13 inch baking pan with cooking spray. Set aside.

Cook the egg noodles according to the package directions, for the shortest time recommended on the package. Place the cooked noodles in the baking pan.

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium-high heat. Cook until the beef is no longer pink. Drain the excess grease.

Stir in the taco seasoning, garlic powder, salt and water. Cook for 3 minutes on medium heat.

Add in the diced tomatoes, Rotel, and tomato sauce. Place beef mixture in the baking pan with the noodles and mix well.

Sprinkle the cheddar cheese evenly on top.

Bake for 12 to 14 minutes until the cheese melted. Serve hot.

Beef cubes are cooked in an Italian tomato sauce then egg noodles and cheese are added at the end of the cooking time.

Slow Cooker Beef Pasta Dinner

sharp cheddar cheese (freshly shredded if possible) (divided)

Add the beef stew meat to your slow cooker.

Sprinkle over the salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and onion powder.

Pour over the diced tomatoes and tomato sauce.

Stir. Cover and cook on LOW for 6-8 hours. The longer it cooks, the meat will become more tender.

Near the end of the cooking time, cook the egg noodles according to the package directions on the stove top. I cook mine for 6 minutes. Do not overcook the noodles. Cook them to al dente.

Drain the noodles and add them to the slow cooker with the meat and sauce. Also, add a 1/2 cup of the cheese. Stir.

Sprinkle over the remaining cheese. Place the lid back on and cook for 20 minutes more on the HIGH setting.

Turn off the slow cooker and serve!

Recipe as written has very little flavor.  Could not taste the seasonings at all.  Very disappointed and will not make again.

I added 3 small yellow onions, 3 carrots, 5 gold potatoes (all roughly chopped), 5 cloves of garlic, and twice as much spices as called for, and it turned out much more to my liking.  Since there are a lot of leftovers, I'm going to experiment and make a red wine roux and see what that does to it! 
Overall, this is a good starting point recipe, but if I made it as is, I'd likely be terribly underwhelmed.

I just made this, followed the exact recipe. It was ok. I won't be making again. And I love pasta dishes. This is just an honest opinion.

This recipe is a keeper! I’m into one pot meals lately so I just added the egg noodles to the slow cooker and let them cook right in the pot with the juices for about 20 mins. They turned out perfect and helped thicken the sauce. Also topped with Parmesan and mozzarella because it’s what we had on hand. My 7 year old ate as much as my husband and even my picky 5 year old liked it. Had roasted cauliflower as a side which mixed in great.
